6 March 2014, Thursday
On March 6 at a meeting with investors within the framework of investment forum Invest in Tatarstan, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov said that Tatarstan leadership and he personally are ready for a dialogue with investors implementing or willing to implement their projects in the republic.

Chief Executive of Tatarstan Investment Development Agency Linar Yakupov told that the first meeting with investors was held last year on December 19, when the decision was made to establish a Club of investors of the Republic of Tatarstan and make up a protocol of suggestions addressed to regional government.

At today’s meeting Linar Yakupov reported on performance of suggestions enlisted in the protocol. In particular, Kazan airport and air companies work on opening new flights to Siberian cities. Another request concerned opening of a school for children of foreign workers. According to Linar Yakupov, the issue is being worked out.

A complicated mechanism connected with involvement of foreign specialists in Russia is another problem for investors. Rustam Minnikhanov said that migration service should control the inflow of foreign workers, giving preference to highly skilled specialists.

President of Schneider Electric in Russia and CIS countries Jean-Louis Stasi suggested paying more attention to local producers.

Summing up, Rustam Minnikhanov added that companies should closely cooperate with higher educational institutions, train specialists to work on their equipment, in order to increase attractiveness of their produce.
