Tatarstan President meets with Managing Director of Qatar Al Khaliji bank

On March 6 Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov met with Chairman and Managing Director of Qatar Al Khaliji Bank Hamad bin Faisal bin Thani Al Thani within the framework of Investment winter forum “Invest in Tatarstan”.
Welcoming the guest, Rustam Minnikhanov expressed his confidence that Hamad Al Thani would find common interests with the republic. “Arab regions are not widely presented in Russia yet. However our country has vast opportunities. You can enter the Russian market through Tatarstan. We would like to cooperate with you both in our and your country,” Tatarstan President said addressing Managing Director of Al Khaliji bank.
Hamad bin Faisal bin Thani Al Thani, in his turn, said that this was his first visit to Tatarstan and he was impressed with what he had seen. “I don’t know your country well yet and I came here to learn more about Russia and Tatarstan. I will share my impressions with my colleagues from Qatar Chamber of Commerce and Industry and I promise that I will come to Tatarstan again. We are interested in new opportunities available in your country,” Mr. Al Thani said.
On 15 December, speaking at a meeting of the competition committee of the regional public competition “The Manager of the Year” about its results in 2025, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin said that the list of 155 participants (nominees), who are heads of enterprises and organizations from various industries and sectors of the economy, for the competition was formed based on recommendations from regional ministries and departments, city and district municipalities, employers' associations and the Federation of Trade Unions of the republic.
On 6 December speaking at a regional meeting held by the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov in the Government House of the republic with all municipalities taking part in it via videoconference, the regional Minister of Construction, Architecture and Housing Utilities Sector Marat Ayzatullin reported about progress in implementation of the of multi-apartment houses capital overhaul programme.
On 5 December, congratulating volunteers with the International Volunteers Day, Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister Leyla Fazleeva wrote in her address: “
Your boundless kindness, sincere desire to help others and active civic position deserve special recognition and deep gratitude. There are over 5,000 volunteer associations operating successfully in Tatarstan, with a total membership of over 220,000 caring people of all ages and professions. Every year the contribution of volunteers into public life of the republic becomes more noticeable.
On 4 December Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister Shamil Gafarov, who is the Chief of Staff of the Office of the Cabinet of Ministers of the republic, took part in a strategic session on the establishment of an inter-university campus in the republic being held at the Kazan Aircraft University on 4-6 December with participation of more than 100 people and more than 40 experts in politics, economy, science, education and industry from all over Russia.
