Increase in meat and poultry production made 2 per cent for two months

On March 7 at a regional meeting at Tatarstan Government House held by Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov, Minister of Agriculture and Food Marat Akhmetov reported that increase in meat and poultry production made 2 per cent for two months.
In particular, 58.3 thousand tonnes of meat and poultry, and 167.5 thousand tonnes of milk were produced for two months in 2014.
In addition, Marat Akhmetov said that as of March 1 the cattle stock made 747.7 thousand.
Agricultural companies attracted 4.7 bln roubles, including loans granted by Rosselkhozbank and Tatfondbank, to proceed to spring field works.
The stock of mineral fertilizers makes 12 kg per heactare, while 50 kg is required to start seasonal works.
Commenting of the situation, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov said that preparatory works should be carried out.
