Results of sessions of ministries and departments as well as Tatarstan municipal councils recently held in Tatarstan were summed up at today’s briefing at Tatarstan Government House.
Deputy Prime Minister – Chief of Staff of the Administrative Office of the Tatarstan Cabinet of Ministers Shamil Gafarov and Deputy Chief of Staff of Tatarstan President's Administrative Office Ilnur Garipov made their keynote reports.
In particular, Shamil Gafarov reported that by and large 43 summary board sessions of ministries and departments were held in Tatarstan from December 11, 2013 to March 6, 2014.
Shamil Gafarov noted that in 2013 Kazan hosted Summer Universiade, but nevertheless all the set tasks, including 26 programmes with participation of all regional municipalities, were completely fulfilled in Tatarstan.
He also reported that due to the introduction of the state information system “Public Control” authorities were well aware of the current needs of the population.
According to him, much emphasis is put on government employee training and staff formation in the region.
Ramil Gafarov also reminded that the task to reduce red tape for businesses was set in the republic. One of the tasks for 2014 is to increase investment attractiveness of municipal regions and Tatarstan in general. Being one of the leading regions of the Russian Federation, Tatarstan is an attractive area for other Russia regions as well, he added.
Ilnur Garipov told about sessions of Tatarstan municipal councils held from February 3 to March 3, 2014. He reminded, in particular, that sessions are held annually from 2006.
Noting that the birth rate is one of the indicators of life quality, Ilnur Garipov reported that 56,517 children were born in Tatarstan in 2013. The rate of natural increase (per 1,000 population) made 2.7 persons in the republic. At the same time, 17 municipal regions showed positive population dynamics. By and large, 18,167 children (or 32% of the total number born the republic in 2013) were born in Kazan.

On March 10, the third meeting of the organizing committee on preparation and holding of the 20th anniversary Russian Venture Forum 2026 to be held in Kazan from April 8 to 10, chaired by Russian Minister of Science and Higher Education Valery Falkov and with participation of Tatarstan Prime Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan and co-chair of the forum’s organizing committee Aleksey Pesoshin, President of the Academy of Sciences of Tatarstan Rifkat Minnikhanov, Director of the Investment and Venture Fund of Tatarstan Damir Galiev as well as representatives of federal and regional authorities, development institutions and partner organizations via videoconference, took place.
On 10 March, speaking at a briefing dedicated to the development of the national Max messenger in Tatarstan and held in the Government House of the republic with all municipalities taking part in it via videoconference, the Minister of Digitalization of Public Administration, Information Technologies and Communication of the republic Ilya Nachvin informed that according to the data of March 2026 about 1.5m residents of Tatarstan use domestic Max messenger.
On 5 February Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin took part in ceremony of awarding winners of the regional competition “The Woman of the Year. The Man of the Year: A Woman’s View” held at the Korston Leisure and Recreation Center in Kazan.
On 4 March at a briefing in the Government House of the republic Tatarstan Minister of Land and Property Relation Fanil Agliullin told about changes in land legislation enforced from 1 March of the current year. He said that they simplify a number of procedures for land plot owners including expanding the possibilities for land use and changing the rules for changing the category of a plot.
