Ildar Khalikov visits Genetec headquarters in Montreal

On March 12 during his working trip to Canada Tatarstan Prime Minister Ildar Khalikov visited Genetec headquarters in Montreal.
Founded in 1997, Genetec Inc. is a pioneer in the sphere of IP video surveillance systems and technology leader in the sphere of physical protection means. With headquarters in Montreal, the company has offices located in the USA, Europe, Middle East and East Asia. Genetec supports its innovative products via its international service.
At his meeting with Ildar Khalikov, Company’s founder, Director General, and President Pierre Racz presented the number plate recognition system, noting that Genetec projects are being implemented in Turkmenistan and Russia (Moscow, St. Petersburg).
Commenting on the presentation, Ildar Khalikov said that many software products are used in Tatarstan for ensuring traffic safety. He continued that such solutions that help to prevent overspeeding and control observance of traffic regulations may be useful for Tatarstan.
Ildar Khalikov also told about Avtodoria software solution, a vehicle speed measurement system.
Tatarstan Prime Minister summarized that cooperation with such companies as Genetec can help reducing costs and increase efficiency of researches.
On 15 December, speaking at a meeting of the competition committee of the regional public competition “The Manager of the Year” about its results in 2025, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin said that the list of 155 participants (nominees), who are heads of enterprises and organizations from various industries and sectors of the economy, for the competition was formed based on recommendations from regional ministries and departments, city and district municipalities, employers' associations and the Federation of Trade Unions of the republic.
On 6 December speaking at a regional meeting held by the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov in the Government House of the republic with all municipalities taking part in it via videoconference, the regional Minister of Construction, Architecture and Housing Utilities Sector Marat Ayzatullin reported about progress in implementation of the of multi-apartment houses capital overhaul programme.
On 5 December, congratulating volunteers with the International Volunteers Day, Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister Leyla Fazleeva wrote in her address: “
Your boundless kindness, sincere desire to help others and active civic position deserve special recognition and deep gratitude. There are over 5,000 volunteer associations operating successfully in Tatarstan, with a total membership of over 220,000 caring people of all ages and professions. Every year the contribution of volunteers into public life of the republic becomes more noticeable.
On 4 December Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister Shamil Gafarov, who is the Chief of Staff of the Office of the Cabinet of Ministers of the republic, took part in a strategic session on the establishment of an inter-university campus in the republic being held at the Kazan Aircraft University on 4-6 December with participation of more than 100 people and more than 40 experts in politics, economy, science, education and industry from all over Russia.
