Ildar Khalikov visits Pratt&Whitney plant in Montreal

On March 13 during his working trip to Canada (March 11-13), Tatarstan Prime Minister Ildar Khalikov visited Pratt&Whitney plant in Montreal.
Company’s official responsible for European markets made a brief presentation, told about company’s history and commercialization.
Being a part of United Technologies Corporation, Pratt&Whitney manufactures aircraft engines for civil and military aviation, module and mobile gas turbine units, locomotive and rocket engines.
Along with Rolls-Royce и General Electric, the company is in “Big Three” manufacturers of aircraft engines.
Providing 6 thousand jobs, the company is one of leading employers in Canada. It has 10 thousand branches in 195 countries, cooperates with 30 largest manufacturers of aircrafts, including Cessna, Bombardier, Eurocopter, ATR 72.
Engines produced by Pratt&Whitney are supplied to Kazan helicopters plant for completion of Ansat helicopter.
Company’s employees showed Ildar Khalikov and members of Tatarstan delegation around manufacturing and assembly sites.
Later on, members of Tatarstan delegation will head for Toronto.
On 15 December, speaking at a meeting of the competition committee of the regional public competition “The Manager of the Year” about its results in 2025, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin said that the list of 155 participants (nominees), who are heads of enterprises and organizations from various industries and sectors of the economy, for the competition was formed based on recommendations from regional ministries and departments, city and district municipalities, employers' associations and the Federation of Trade Unions of the republic.
On 6 December speaking at a regional meeting held by the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov in the Government House of the republic with all municipalities taking part in it via videoconference, the regional Minister of Construction, Architecture and Housing Utilities Sector Marat Ayzatullin reported about progress in implementation of the of multi-apartment houses capital overhaul programme.
On 5 December, congratulating volunteers with the International Volunteers Day, Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister Leyla Fazleeva wrote in her address: “
Your boundless kindness, sincere desire to help others and active civic position deserve special recognition and deep gratitude. There are over 5,000 volunteer associations operating successfully in Tatarstan, with a total membership of over 220,000 caring people of all ages and professions. Every year the contribution of volunteers into public life of the republic becomes more noticeable.
On 4 December Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister Shamil Gafarov, who is the Chief of Staff of the Office of the Cabinet of Ministers of the republic, took part in a strategic session on the establishment of an inter-university campus in the republic being held at the Kazan Aircraft University on 4-6 December with participation of more than 100 people and more than 40 experts in politics, economy, science, education and industry from all over Russia.
