Tatarstan President will meet with divers, record-breakers

On March 14 Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov will meet with members of diving research team of All-Russia public organisation “Russian Geographical Society” in Tatarstan, participants of a record project “Cold pole”. Tatarstan divers set two world records, they explored two lakes, Labynkyr and Vorota in Oymyakon (Yakutiya).

The purpose of diving was exploration of lakes, testing organism and equipment in extreme conditions, as well as collection of bottom and water samples. The collected samples were given to biologists. Scientists from the Institute of biological problems of cryolithic zone of Siberian department of Russian Academy of Sciences also walked with Tatarstan divers. The divers took the flag of the Kazan Kremlin with them under water.

Tomorrow participants of the expedition will come back to Kazan to meet with Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov at 10:30 a.m. They will tell about details of the unique project.
