Rustam Minnikhanov congratulates volleyball players of Dinamo-Kazan team on victory in the Champions League

On March 17 Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov met with members of volleyball club Dinamo-Kazan, winners of the Champions League 2013/2014.
“It is a great privilege for me to honour the best team in Europe. Last time we had such a success in 1995. You were heading for this victory for many years and you managed to make your dream come true! Due to such outstanding victories of our athletes we can say that Russia is a powerful country!” Rustam Minnikhanov said.
He continued that victory in the Champions League is the result of hard work of the team, coach, federation and sponsors.
Letters of gratitude of Tatarstan President and prizes were presented to Chief coach Rishat Gilyazutdinov, head of the team Maria Borodakova and team memebrs Ekaterina Gamova.
The title “Honoured worker of physical culture of the Republic of Tatarstan” was given to team members Regina Moroz, Ekaterina Ulanova, Evgeniya Startseva, Irina Voronkova, Jordan Larson, Maria Popova, Daria Rossomakhina, Irina Malkova, Antonella Del Core, Anna Melnikova, and senior coach Denis Matveev. The title “Honoured doctor of the Republic of Tatarstan” was given to team’s doctor Pavel Klimovsky.
Letter of gratitude of Tatarstan President and certificate for 5 million roubles for purchasing sports equipment and outfit was presented to the team.
Chief coach Rishat Gilyazutdinov thanked city and regional leaders for support.
On 13 April in his congratulatory address on the occasion of the Maecenas and Benefactor Day, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin congratulated residents of the republic with the event and wrote: "Tatarstan has always been known for its generous and kind-hearted people who are ready to help the needy and support important social, cultural and educational projects. We all remember with gratitude the outstanding philanthropists – the Akchurin brothers, the Alafuzovs, and the Ushkovs, whose good deeds and generous donations contributed to the development of culture, education, and healthcare in our republic. The glorious traditions are continued by modern philanthropists and patrons of Tatarstan.
On 12 April in his address to residents of the republic, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin congratulated them with the Space Exploration Day and said: “April 12, 1961 has forever been inscribed into the world history as the day of triumph of the Soviet science and engineering thought. The flight of Yuriy Gagarin opened the way to the stars for the humankind and demonstrated to the whole world the might of our country.
On 4 April , speaking at a closing ceremony of the XX Russian Venture Forum held at the Kazan Expo Exhibition Center, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin said that the Russian Venture Forum has confirmed its status of the point of attraction of technological development leaders.
The Forum created a unified scientific, technological and investment space where scientific ideas are transformed into competitive products, and startups gain access to capital and markets. Its business programme is organically integrated into the regional and federal agenda for achieving technological sovereignty and leadership of Russia, he said.
On 1 April Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin and Russian Minister of Healthcare Mikhail Murashko introduced Ayrat Farrakhov, who was appointed the Acting Rector of Kazan State Medical University (KSMU) to its staff.
In his speech Mikhail Murashko emphasized that today KSMU is rightfully considered one of the most respected in the country and said:”Ayrat (Zakievich) has been officially appointed the Acting Rector and I am sure that under his leadership the University will maintain the positions it has achieved and, of course, will continue its development.”
