Rustam Minnikhanov meets with representatives of Marubeni Corporation

On March 19 during their meeting in Tokyo (Japan), Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov and Senior Adviser for Global Strategy, COO of Marubeni Corporation Yoshida Wataru discussed prospects for cooperation in the implementation of joint projects in Tatarstan.
Marubeni Corporation is one of five largest Japanese trading companies with activities in multiple business areas, from food products and clothes to steel and chemical materials. Employing 8,500 highly-qualified personnel, the company has 30 branches in Japan and 158 offices in 79 countries worldwide.
Mr. Wataru told Rustam Minnikhanov about the company’s experience in Russia. Marubeni Corporation has been doing business in Russia since 1993 and is the leading distributor of Japanese companies, such as Nissan, Fujifilm. Marubeni Auto and Construction Machinery is a branch of Marubeni Corporation in Russia, delivering heavy and special-purpose equipment for municipal, road-building, mining, oil and gas production enterprises.
On 15 December, speaking at a meeting of the competition committee of the regional public competition “The Manager of the Year” about its results in 2025, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin said that the list of 155 participants (nominees), who are heads of enterprises and organizations from various industries and sectors of the economy, for the competition was formed based on recommendations from regional ministries and departments, city and district municipalities, employers' associations and the Federation of Trade Unions of the republic.
On 6 December speaking at a regional meeting held by the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov in the Government House of the republic with all municipalities taking part in it via videoconference, the regional Minister of Construction, Architecture and Housing Utilities Sector Marat Ayzatullin reported about progress in implementation of the of multi-apartment houses capital overhaul programme.
On 5 December, congratulating volunteers with the International Volunteers Day, Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister Leyla Fazleeva wrote in her address: “
Your boundless kindness, sincere desire to help others and active civic position deserve special recognition and deep gratitude. There are over 5,000 volunteer associations operating successfully in Tatarstan, with a total membership of over 220,000 caring people of all ages and professions. Every year the contribution of volunteers into public life of the republic becomes more noticeable.
On 4 December Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister Shamil Gafarov, who is the Chief of Staff of the Office of the Cabinet of Ministers of the republic, took part in a strategic session on the establishment of an inter-university campus in the republic being held at the Kazan Aircraft University on 4-6 December with participation of more than 100 people and more than 40 experts in politics, economy, science, education and industry from all over Russia.
