Chairman of Russian Government visits Tatarstan Centre of Energy Saving Technology at Kazan State Power Engineering University

On March 25 during his working trip to Kazan, Chairman of the Russian Government Dmitry Medvedev visited Kazan State Power Engineering University.
Dmitry Medvedev was accompanied by Deputy Chairman of the Russian Government Arkady Dvorkovich, Presidential Envoy in Volga Federal District Mikhail Babich, Russian Minister of Education and Science Dmitry Livanov, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov and other officials.
A unique Center of energy-saving competences and technologies was presented to Dmitry Medvedev at Kazan State Power Engineering University.
Rector of the University Edward Abdulazyanov told Dmitry Medvedev about the center. The sector “Smart House”, consisting of several parts, was presented to Chairman of the Russian Government. An interactive presentation “Energy Efficient House”, giving useful tips on how to reduce energy consumption in a house, was one of them.
Demonstration and laboratory facilities for intellectual artificial lighting and alternative energy systems were also shown to Medvedev.
An integrated system for dispatching and collecting readings from energy-resources metering devices in Kazan was demonstrated to Dmitry Medvedev at the stand “Smart City – Kazan”.
When demonstrating the work of a 3D printer, Tatarstan schoolchildren printed out and presented a map of Crimea to Dmitry Medvedev.
Then, Dmitry Medvedev was shown a short video presentation, demonstrating all interactive opportunities available at Tatarstan Center of Energy Saving Technology.
On 15 December, speaking at a meeting of the competition committee of the regional public competition “The Manager of the Year” about its results in 2025, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin said that the list of 155 participants (nominees), who are heads of enterprises and organizations from various industries and sectors of the economy, for the competition was formed based on recommendations from regional ministries and departments, city and district municipalities, employers' associations and the Federation of Trade Unions of the republic.
On 6 December speaking at a regional meeting held by the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov in the Government House of the republic with all municipalities taking part in it via videoconference, the regional Minister of Construction, Architecture and Housing Utilities Sector Marat Ayzatullin reported about progress in implementation of the of multi-apartment houses capital overhaul programme.
On 5 December, congratulating volunteers with the International Volunteers Day, Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister Leyla Fazleeva wrote in her address: “
Your boundless kindness, sincere desire to help others and active civic position deserve special recognition and deep gratitude. There are over 5,000 volunteer associations operating successfully in Tatarstan, with a total membership of over 220,000 caring people of all ages and professions. Every year the contribution of volunteers into public life of the republic becomes more noticeable.
On 4 December Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister Shamil Gafarov, who is the Chief of Staff of the Office of the Cabinet of Ministers of the republic, took part in a strategic session on the establishment of an inter-university campus in the republic being held at the Kazan Aircraft University on 4-6 December with participation of more than 100 people and more than 40 experts in politics, economy, science, education and industry from all over Russia.
