Rustam Minnikhanov: Everyone should be protected by law, and prosecutor’s supervision plays an important role in it

On March 27 at a meeting of prosecution bodies of Volga Federal District in Kazan Prosecutor’s Office on results of work in 2013 and setting tasks for 2014 held by Russian Prosecutor General Yury Chaika, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov said that illegal migration is the most urgent problem in Volga Federal District, solid work is being done on controlling migration flows.
Presidential Envoy in Volga Federal District Mikhail Babich and Deputy Prosecutor General of Russia Sergey Zaitsev took part in the event.
Welcoming participants of the meeting, Tatarstan President reminded that 2013 was marked by summer Universiade. “Russian leadership and international companies appreciated organization of World summer student games. Due to joint efforts we managed to ensure complex safety and public order, and prosecution bodies made a considerable contribution to our common goal,” Rustam Minnikhanov said. He thanked employees of prosecution bodies for their work.
Tatarstan President told about social and economic situation in the republic, noting that Tatarstan is in the lead by many factors in Volga Federal District.
“We are maintaining social orientation of the budget, increasing salaries, executing orders of Russian President, building social objects. Special attention is paid to preservation of cultural heritage, major work was done on reconstruction of the historical centre of Kazan.
Our main task is to improve the population quality of life and their social wellbeing. Citizens’ confidence is the main criteria of assessment of state authorities’ work. Everyone should be protected by law, and prosecutor’s supervision plays an important role in it,” Rustam Minnikhanov said.

On 10 March, speaking at a briefing dedicated to the development of the national Max messenger in Tatarstan and held in the Government House of the republic with all municipalities taking part in it via videoconference, the Minister of Digitalization of Public Administration, Information Technologies and Communication of the republic Ilya Nachvin informed that according to the data of March 2026 about 1.5m residents of Tatarstan use domestic Max messenger.
On 5 February Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin took part in ceremony of awarding winners of the regional competition “The Woman of the Year. The Man of the Year: A Woman’s View” held at the Korston Leisure and Recreation Center in Kazan.
On 4 March at a briefing in the Government House of the republic Tatarstan Minister of Land and Property Relation Fanil Agliullin told about changes in land legislation enforced from 1 March of the current year. He said that they simplify a number of procedures for land plot owners including expanding the possibilities for land use and changing the rules for changing the category of a plot.
On 2 March in her address on the occasion of the Mentor’s Day, Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister Leyla Fazleeva congratulated residents of the republic with the event and wrote: “Since 2025 this holiday established by Russian President Vladimir Putin has occupied a worthy place in the calendar of significant dates of our country, emphasizing the high status and significance of the mentoring mission.
