Rustam Minnikhanov about preparation for XVI World Aquatics Championship 2015 in Kazan: We will organise a holiday for sportsmen and all fans of aquatic sport

On March 27 at their meeting in Kazan, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov, FINA President Julio Maglione, FINA CEO Kornel Markulesku, and representatives of Russian Swimming Federation discussed preparation of sports venues for XVI World Aquatics Championship 2015 in Kazan.
To the point, FINA officials arrived in Kazan with the inspection visit.
At his meeting with Rustam Minnikhanov, Julio Maglione said that there are no problems with preparation of sports venues, and they saw high-quality preparatory works. As for “Kazan-Arena” stadium, there are several variants that are being worked out.
Rustam Minnikhanov was also told about press conference on preparation and holding XVI World Aquatics Championship 2015 in Kazan.
Tatarstan President assured FINA executives that Kazan would justify the confidence given to Russia in terms of hosting the championship. “We will organise a holiday for sportsmen and all fans of aquatic sport,” he said. Rustam Minnikhanov believes that the championship will favour development of aquatic sports in Russia.
Summing up, Rustam Minnikhanov noted Tatarstan has got experience in hosting international sports events.

On 10 March, speaking at a briefing dedicated to the development of the national Max messenger in Tatarstan and held in the Government House of the republic with all municipalities taking part in it via videoconference, the Minister of Digitalization of Public Administration, Information Technologies and Communication of the republic Ilya Nachvin informed that according to the data of March 2026 about 1.5m residents of Tatarstan use domestic Max messenger.
On 5 February Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin took part in ceremony of awarding winners of the regional competition “The Woman of the Year. The Man of the Year: A Woman’s View” held at the Korston Leisure and Recreation Center in Kazan.
On 4 March at a briefing in the Government House of the republic Tatarstan Minister of Land and Property Relation Fanil Agliullin told about changes in land legislation enforced from 1 March of the current year. He said that they simplify a number of procedures for land plot owners including expanding the possibilities for land use and changing the rules for changing the category of a plot.
On 2 March in her address on the occasion of the Mentor’s Day, Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister Leyla Fazleeva congratulated residents of the republic with the event and wrote: “Since 2025 this holiday established by Russian President Vladimir Putin has occupied a worthy place in the calendar of significant dates of our country, emphasizing the high status and significance of the mentoring mission.
