On March 28 participants of the session of the Economic Council under Tatarstan Cabinet of Ministers held by Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov discussed the “road map” of small and medium-size entrepreneurship development in Tatarstan in 2014-2016. Opening the session, Rustam Minnikhanov said: “We are speaking a lot about the role of small and medium-size business in regional economy, though the share of entrepreneurship in GRP has been increasing very slowly since 2010. Today, small and medium-size business is presented by 140, 000 business entities, with 500, 000 people working there. However, the share of small and medium-size business in GRP makes 25 per cent,” Rustam Minnikhanov said.
Tatarstan President noted that not all town and regions put much emphasis on entrepreneurship development. In his opinion, the “road map” should favour formation of business environment, creation of new enterprises and jobs. Rustam Minnikhanov suggested monitoring the situation and creating common database.
