On March 28, at a meeting on preparation and holding of the National Skills Championship WorldSkills Russia to be held on May 16-20, 2014 in Kazan, Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister – Minister of Education and Science Engel Fattakhov reported to Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov on preparation for the event.
About 500 students of universities and specialised secondary schools will compete in 35 skill areas at the championship. Moreover, experts and guests from Russian regions and abroad will attend the event.
Participants are expected to arrive and check-in on May 14-15. The opening ceremony of the National Skills Championship WorldsSkills Russia will be held on May 16 at the International Information Center of the Universiade Village. The competitions will take place on May 17-19 at the exhibition center “Kazan Fair”. The closing ceremony will be held on May 20.
Director General of Kazan 2013Execuitve Directorate Azat Kadyrov reported on preparation for big campaign for hosting the International Championship WorldSkills Competition 2019 in Kazan. In particular, he reminded that WorldSkills International (WSI) is an international non-for-profit association. Its mission is to promote the status and standards of professional training and skills worldwide. Established in 1946, WSI unites 67 member countries, among which there is the Russian Federation. WorldSkills Competition is held every two years (2011 – Great Britain, 2013 – Germany, 2015 – Brazil, 2017 – UAE).

On 15 December, speaking at a meeting of the competition committee of the regional public competition “The Manager of the Year” about its results in 2025, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin said that the list of 155 participants (nominees), who are heads of enterprises and organizations from various industries and sectors of the economy, for the competition was formed based on recommendations from regional ministries and departments, city and district municipalities, employers' associations and the Federation of Trade Unions of the republic.
On 6 December speaking at a regional meeting held by the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov in the Government House of the republic with all municipalities taking part in it via videoconference, the regional Minister of Construction, Architecture and Housing Utilities Sector Marat Ayzatullin reported about progress in implementation of the of multi-apartment houses capital overhaul programme.
On 5 December, congratulating volunteers with the International Volunteers Day, Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister Leyla Fazleeva wrote in her address: “
Your boundless kindness, sincere desire to help others and active civic position deserve special recognition and deep gratitude. There are over 5,000 volunteer associations operating successfully in Tatarstan, with a total membership of over 220,000 caring people of all ages and professions. Every year the contribution of volunteers into public life of the republic becomes more noticeable.
On 4 December Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister Shamil Gafarov, who is the Chief of Staff of the Office of the Cabinet of Ministers of the republic, took part in a strategic session on the establishment of an inter-university campus in the republic being held at the Kazan Aircraft University on 4-6 December with participation of more than 100 people and more than 40 experts in politics, economy, science, education and industry from all over Russia.
