Vladimir Putin holds a working meeting with Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov

On April 1, at his meeting with Vladimir Putin in Novo-Ogarevo (Moscow region), Rustam Minnikhanov informed Russian President on the investment component of Tatarstan economy and reported on results of his working trips to the Crimea.
In particular, Rustam Minnikhanov reported that last year the capital investments made 520 billion roubles, showing a 5.5 per cent increase.
“We have good results in the oil refining industry. The certificate of conformity to technical regulation has been issued. The refinery yield will make 98 per cent by 2016. This year we are launching hydro-cracking and lubricant production,” Rustam Minnikhanov continued.
He also reported on the development of special economic zone “Alabuga” (Elabuga region, Tatarstan).
“We have good projects underway in the special economic zone. Currently, 41 residents have been registered there. Investments account to over 100 billion, with more than 50 billion made by investors,” Rustam Minnikhanov said.
Tatarstan President added that industrial parks are being established in every municipal region to facilitate development of small and medium-size business.
“The share of small and medium-size business is currently 25 per cent, but our aim is 30-35, up to 40 per cent. We have a lot of work to do in this area,” Rustam Minnikhanov stated.
Rustam Minnikhanov reported to Vladimir Putin in details on his trips to Crimea, where he has been three times.
“There are some topical issues that I would like to share with you and get your support on,” Rustam Minnikhanov said. He reminded that Crimean Tatars were subjected to repression 70 years ago and offered to apply the Law “On rehabilitation of repressed peoples” in respect of Crimean Tatars.
Rustam Minnikhanov also brought the wish of Crimean Tatars to meet with Russian President to tell about their plans and view of the situation to Vladimir Putin’s attention.

On 18 May ay the CIPR conference in Nizhniy Nogorod the Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister Roman Shaykhutdinov, the Rector of the Innopolis University Aleksandr Gasnikpov and the Vice-rector of the University Yevgeny Bobrov will take part at round tables session of the conference.
Experts will discuss the role of Tatarstan and Innopolis as one of the key technological centers of the country and how regional innovative platforms help to solve tasks of the whole Russian industry. A special emphasis will be placed on the digital transformation of the oil and gas sector and how large clusters and scientific and technological centers are becoming drivers of industry change.
On 16 May, speaking at a meeting in the Government House of the republic held by the regional Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin with participation of the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov and all municipalities taking part in it via videoconference, the Minister of Agriculture and Food of the republic Marat Zyabbarov reported that the sowing of spring crops is in full swing in the republic with 1m 38 thousand hectares or 61 per cent of the planned have been sown.
On May 14, on the sidelines of the XVII International Economic Forum “Russia-the Islamic World: KazanForum”, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin and Head of the Federal Service for Accreditation Dmitry Volvach signed an agreement on interaction and cooperation in the development of the halal industry.
On May 14, Prime Minister of Tajikistan Kokhir Rasulzoda, who arrived on a working visit in Kazan to take part in the events of the XVII International Economic Forum “Russia-the Islamic World: KazanForum”, was met by Prime Minister of the republic Aleksey Pesoshin and other officials at the Kazan International Airport.
