Sharjah and Tatarstan Chambers of Commerce and Industry signed Cooperation Agreement

On April 7, Tatarstan delegation held its first meeting with the Chairman of Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry Ahmet Mohhamed Al Midfa on the threshold of IV annual investment meeting in Dubai.
The Republic of Tatarstan is represented by Aide to Tatarstan President Radik Gimatdinov, trade and economic representative of the Republic of Tatarstan in United Arab Emirates Timur Khairutdinov, Director General of OAO “Special economic zone “Innopolis” Igor Nosov, and Board Chairman of Chamber of Commerce and Industry Shamil Ageev.
The economic and investment potential of Sharjah was presented to the Tatarstan delegation during the meeting. It was also told about priority development areas and the activity of Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry. About 20 industrial areas have been established in the emirate of Sharjah, where mainly small and medium-size chemical enterprises are located in a free trade zone.
Director General of OAO “Special economic zone “Innopolis” Igor Nosov told about the development of IT-industry in Tatarstan and a major project “Innopolis”. “Such meetings are an excellent platform to present our economic and investment opportunities,” Igor Nosov pointed out.
Chairman of Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry Ahmet Mohhamed Al Midfa, in his turn, showed great interest in regional cooperation, especially with Tatarstan. “I am sure that the visit of Tatarstan delegation will contribute to the development of relations between Russia and the Emirates,” Ahmet Mohhamed Al Midfa assured.
The meeting resulted in signing a cooperation agreement between Sharjah and Tatarstan Chambers of Commerce and Industry, aiming at developing mutually beneficial trade relations between Russian and UAE businessmen.
On 15 December, speaking at a meeting of the competition committee of the regional public competition “The Manager of the Year” about its results in 2025, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin said that the list of 155 participants (nominees), who are heads of enterprises and organizations from various industries and sectors of the economy, for the competition was formed based on recommendations from regional ministries and departments, city and district municipalities, employers' associations and the Federation of Trade Unions of the republic.
On 6 December speaking at a regional meeting held by the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov in the Government House of the republic with all municipalities taking part in it via videoconference, the regional Minister of Construction, Architecture and Housing Utilities Sector Marat Ayzatullin reported about progress in implementation of the of multi-apartment houses capital overhaul programme.
On 5 December, congratulating volunteers with the International Volunteers Day, Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister Leyla Fazleeva wrote in her address: “
Your boundless kindness, sincere desire to help others and active civic position deserve special recognition and deep gratitude. There are over 5,000 volunteer associations operating successfully in Tatarstan, with a total membership of over 220,000 caring people of all ages and professions. Every year the contribution of volunteers into public life of the republic becomes more noticeable.
On 4 December Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister Shamil Gafarov, who is the Chief of Staff of the Office of the Cabinet of Ministers of the republic, took part in a strategic session on the establishment of an inter-university campus in the republic being held at the Kazan Aircraft University on 4-6 December with participation of more than 100 people and more than 40 experts in politics, economy, science, education and industry from all over Russia.
