Austrian businessmen are interested in cooperation with Tatarstan

RT Prime Minister Rustam Minnikhanov and Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Austrian republic to Russian Federation Mr. Martin Vukovich discussed possible joint projects in various economic spheres.
The parties stated that currently level of relationship between Austria and Tatarstan as one of industrially developed regions in Russia is rather low.
Head of RT government thanked Ambassador of Austrian republic to Russian Federation for initiative and organization of this meeting and expressed hope that closer acquaintance of Austrian business structures with potential of Tatarstan is likely to enlarge the number of contacts and joint projects.
Mr Martin Vukovich in his turn presented the members of Austrian delegation to RT Prime Minister saying that Tatarstan may be a partner for Austria in many spheres as far as it is rich in raw materials, nature resources, intellectual potential, offers many higher educational institutions and enjoys a developed industry.
The Representative of Austrian Economic Chamber in CIS countries Heinz Walter said that Austrian delegation consisted of 27 company officers in various economic spheres. According to his words today Austrian business exposes a special interest in cooperation with Russian companies. Annually business forums are held in Vienna and Russian business structures take part in these events. Recently 5 Russian regions have been presented there.
Brief presentations have been shown by specialists of “Alcatel-Lucent Austria AG” (communication devices), Bertsch-Laska (energy machinery, equipment for meat and milk processing), Hale Electronic (equipment and systems for taxi companies), M-U-T GmbH (waste recycling and utilization, production in environmental sphere), O. Salm & Co. (equipment for breweries), Skidata AG (access systems in transport, buildings and other objects), Schletterer Wellness & Spa Design (planning and management of water and health complexes), Starlinger &Co (packing), Swarowski (equipment of buildings, interiors, illuminators). Tatarstan is strongly interested in offers from Skidata AG to be a sponsor of Universiade-2013 in Kazan and possibility to invest money into construction of multitiered car parkings.
RT Prime Minister has accepted a proposal from Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Austrian republic to Russian Federation Mr Martin Vukovich to arrange a return visit of Tatarstan business structures to Austria.

On 24 April in the Government House of the republic, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin held a joint meeting the Council for Enforcement of Legislation of Languages of Tatarstan and the organizational committee for celebrations of the 140th birthday of Gabdulla Tukay which summarized results of work of the regional law enforcement on official languages of the republic and considered progress of the implementation of the plan of main events for preparation and celebration of the 140th birthday of Gabdulla Tukay .
On 21 April, speaking at a briefing in the Government House of the republic, the Head of the Russian Federal Tax Service for Tatarstan Marat Safiullin said that slightly more than one week is left to file an income tax return for 2025 with the tax service. According to the results of the tax campaign 5.5.bn rubles should come to the regional budget, he said and informed who should submit declarations and who is entitled to benefits.
On 13 April in his congratulatory address on the occasion of the Maecenas and Benefactor Day, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin congratulated residents of the republic with the event and wrote: "Tatarstan has always been known for its generous and kind-hearted people who are ready to help the needy and support important social, cultural and educational projects. We all remember with gratitude the outstanding philanthropists – the Akchurin brothers, the Alafuzovs, and the Ushkovs, whose good deeds and generous donations contributed to the development of culture, education, and healthcare in our republic. The glorious traditions are continued by modern philanthropists and patrons of Tatarstan.
