Ildar Khalikov: "Tatarstan and Crimea have opportunity to renew cooperation"

On April 8 Prime Minister Ildar Khalikov, Chief of Staff of Tatarstan President’s Administrative Office Asgat Safarov, Vice-Premier - Chief of Staff of Tatarstan Cabinet of Ministers Shamil Gafarov, Vice-Premier – Minister of Education and Science Engel Fattakhov took part in a meeting on cooperation with Crimea in Bakhchisarai.
Ildar Khalikov thanked Crimean colleagues for hospitality, and reminded that Tatarstan is rendering patronage assistance to Bakhchisarai region. He noted that Tatarstan and Crimea are united by historical and cultural relations.
Ildar Khalikov told about social and economic development of Tatarstan and experience the region is willing to share with Crimea. In particular, cooperation may be established in medical industry, and education. Our national educational system may be interesting for Crimea, he added.
Cooperation may also be developed in scientific sphere, first of all, in conducting historical research.
Speaking about cooperation in the sphere of culture, Ildar Khalikov invited Crimean creative teams to gala concert “Sozvezdie”.
“Our task today is to establish contacts. Tatarstan ministers will receive contact details of their Crimean colleagues to define cooperation areas.
Ildar Khalikov asked Shamil Gafarov to work out organisation of electronic interaction with Bakhchisarai region, and video conference between Tatarstan and Crimea. Head of Tatarstan Government noted that the republic is willing to share all software products developed for public and municipal administration on a free-of-charge basis.
Tatarstan Prime Minister will also take part in a meeting on rendering material and methodological assistance to Crimean municipalities chaired by Vice-Premier of Russian Government Dmitry Kozak in Simferopol.
On 10 March, speaking at a briefing dedicated to the development of the national Max messenger in Tatarstan and held in the Government House of the republic with all municipalities taking part in it via videoconference, the Minister of Digitalization of Public Administration, Information Technologies and Communication of the republic Ilya Nachvin informed that according to the data of March 2026 about 1.5m residents of Tatarstan use domestic Max messenger.
On 5 February Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin took part in ceremony of awarding winners of the regional competition “The Woman of the Year. The Man of the Year: A Woman’s View” held at the Korston Leisure and Recreation Center in Kazan.
On 4 March at a briefing in the Government House of the republic Tatarstan Minister of Land and Property Relation Fanil Agliullin told about changes in land legislation enforced from 1 March of the current year. He said that they simplify a number of procedures for land plot owners including expanding the possibilities for land use and changing the rules for changing the category of a plot.
On 2 March in her address on the occasion of the Mentor’s Day, Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister Leyla Fazleeva congratulated residents of the republic with the event and wrote: “Since 2025 this holiday established by Russian President Vladimir Putin has occupied a worthy place in the calendar of significant dates of our country, emphasizing the high status and significance of the mentoring mission.
