Rustam Minnikhanov holds meeting on infrastructure development in Naberezhnye Chelny

On April 14, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov held a meeting on construction, reconstruction and repair of road and street system, construction of a new tram line in Naberezhnye Chelny, as well as development of industrial sites at IT Park in Naberezhnye Chelny.
Opening the meeting, Rustam Minnikhanov noted that issues related to infrastructure and industrial sites development are very important for the city.
Rustam Minnikhanov pointed out that an excellent IT Park was established in Naberezhnye Chelny and it is necessary to make the best use of its possibilities. He also reminded that a rental multi-apartment house for IT-park employees, which is under construction, is to be commissioned in August this year. Rustam Minnikhanov also noted the need to provide transport access to the IT park.
Naberezhnye Chelny Mayor Vasil Shaikhraziev made a report on construction and reconstruction of objects in the city. He briefly told about results of city district development in January-March 2014. Thus, the volume of goods shipped in the first quarter made 37.4 billion roubles. The average salary in the city amounted to 24,000 roubles.
He continued that the labour force makes 376,300 people and 2,300 people have registered at job centers, with 4,700 vacancies being available.
Naberezhnye Chelny Mayor also reported on construction, reconstruction and repair of road and street system. In particular, he told that construction of a new tram line in the northeast area of the city, with the funding of 530 million roubles, will be completed in December this year. This will speed up the movement of citizens and connect the old and new parts of the city.
Vasil Shaikhraziev told about work being done in the city to eliminate queues in the kindergartens. In particular, he reported that five kindergartens will be open in June in the city, all at the same time. This has not happened since 1979.
Eight schools will be repaired in Naberezhnye Chelny under the capital repair programme, with the funding amounting to 302.4 million roubles.
Summing up, Tatarstan President said that Tatarstan Ministry of Economy was given a task to prepare a draft programme for the development of the robotics center (together with OAO “KAMAZ), noting that preliminary agreements regarding participation in the project have been reached with Director General of OAO “KAMAZ” Sergey Kogogin.

The flight of Yuriy Gagarin opened the way to the stars for the humankind and demonstrated to the whole world the might of our country.
On 4 April , speaking at a closing ceremony of the XX Russian Venture Forum held at the Kazan Expo Exhibition Center, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin said that the Russian Venture Forum has confirmed its status of the point of attraction of technological development leaders.
The Forum created a unified scientific, technological and investment space where scientific ideas are transformed into competitive products, and startups gain access to capital and markets. Its business programme is organically integrated into the regional and federal agenda for achieving technological sovereignty and leadership of Russia, he said.
On 1 April Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin and Russian Minister of Healthcare Mikhail Murashko introduced Ayrat Farrakhov, who was appointed the Acting Rector of Kazan State Medical University (KSMU) to its staff.
In his speech Mikhail Murashko emphasized that today KSMU is rightfully considered one of the most respected in the country and said:”Ayrat (Zakievich) has been officially appointed the Acting Rector and I am sure that under his leadership the University will maintain the positions it has achieved and, of course, will continue its development.”
