Tatarstan President arrives in China

On April 14 upon his arrival in China, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov visited Urumqi, the administrative centre of Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region.
Business itinerary of the visit will start tomorrow from Urumchi innovative and economic development zone, where Rustam Minnikhanov will present economic potential of the Republic of Tatarstan to businessmen of Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region.
Rustam Minnikhanov will also meet with Zhang Chunxian, a member of Political Bureau of the Central Committee of Communist Party of China, Secretary of the party committee of Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, sign several agreements on cooperation, visit main Urumchi enterprises, and meet with members of Tatar community of Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region.
On April 16 Tatarstan delegation will head for Beijing.
Chief Executive of Tatarstan Investment Development Agency Linar Yakupov, Aide to Tatarstan President on international activity Radik Gimatdinov, OAO “Tatneft” Director General Nail Maganov, OAO “TAIF” Board Chairman Rustem Sulteev, OAO “Tatneftekhiminvest-holding” Director General Rafinat Yarullin, Chairman of Tatartsan Chamber of Commerce and Industry Shamil Ageev are on Tatarstan delegation.

On 4 March at a briefing in the Government House of the republic Tatarstan Minister of Land and Property Relation Fanil Agliullin told about changes in land legislation enforced from 1 March of the current year. He said that they simplify a number of procedures for land plot owners including expanding the possibilities for land use and changing the rules for changing the category of a plot.

On 2 March in her address on the occasion of the Mentor’s Day, Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister Leyla Fazleeva congratulated residents of the republic with the event and wrote: “Since 2025 this holiday established by Russian President Vladimir Putin has occupied a worthy place in the calendar of significant dates of our country, emphasizing the high status and significance of the mentoring mission.
