Ildar Khalikov: Quality and risk management at medical institutions are medicine development priorities in Tatarstan

On April 17, opening II International Conference “Quality and Risk Management at Medical Institutions”, Tatarstan Prime Minister reminded of the need to create an ongoing quality management system at medical institutions.
The conference is a joint project of Tatarstan Ministry of Health and Educational Center for Advanced Medical Technologies.
Tatarstan Minister of Health Adel Vafin, Deputy Director on Scientific Work of the National Public Health Research Institute of Public Health Alexander Lindenbraten and other officials attended the opening ceremony.
The leading experts from Russia, Germany, Israel, Serbia, the USA and Finland will take part in the conference.
“Not only Tatarstan medical workers but physicians form other Russian regions and from abroad are trained in the Center, which is unique in its own way,” Ildar Khalikov noted. “The most important thing is that it continues to actively develop. Medical workers from France, Germany and a number of other European countries have started studying here.”
“I have been always emphasizing the topic of today’s conference as one of the main priorities of Tatarstan medicine development. There is no doubt that quality and management at medical institutions are important,” Ildar Khalikov pointed out.
During his speech, Ildar Khalikov presented some statistical data. “A great deal of what has already been done yields good results. In the recent years, we have seen a positive demographic situation. This is largely thanks to you that the number of births exceeds the number of deaths,” he continued, adding that Tatarstan medical centers are in the lead not only on a regional scale, but among their Russian colleagues.
“There is a room for improvement. We need to create an ongoing quality management system that would meet international standards with our approaches, standards and ambitions,” Tatarstan Prime Minister summarized.
Ildar Khalikov also pointed out the importance of citizens’ satisfaction with the medical service quality.
Summing up, Tatarstan Prime Minister called the Tatarstan Ministry of Health and Education Center to set up training courses on improving medical care quality.
On 18 May ay the CIPR conference in Nizhniy Nogorod the Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister Roman Shaykhutdinov, the Rector of the Innopolis University Aleksandr Gasnikpov and the Vice-rector of the University Yevgeny Bobrov will take part at round tables session of the conference.
Experts will discuss the role of Tatarstan and Innopolis as one of the key technological centers of the country and how regional innovative platforms help to solve tasks of the whole Russian industry. A special emphasis will be placed on the digital transformation of the oil and gas sector and how large clusters and scientific and technological centers are becoming drivers of industry change.
On 16 May, speaking at a meeting in the Government House of the republic held by the regional Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin with participation of the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov and all municipalities taking part in it via videoconference, the Minister of Agriculture and Food of the republic Marat Zyabbarov reported that the sowing of spring crops is in full swing in the republic with 1m 38 thousand hectares or 61 per cent of the planned have been sown.
On May 14, on the sidelines of the XVII International Economic Forum “Russia-the Islamic World: KazanForum”, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin and Head of the Federal Service for Accreditation Dmitry Volvach signed an agreement on interaction and cooperation in the development of the halal industry.
On May 14, Prime Minister of Tajikistan Kokhir Rasulzoda, who arrived on a working visit in Kazan to take part in the events of the XVII International Economic Forum “Russia-the Islamic World: KazanForum”, was met by Prime Minister of the republic Aleksey Pesoshin and other officials at the Kazan International Airport.
