Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov awarded with the Order of Dostyk

On April 18, Ambassador of Kazakhstan to Russia Marat Tazhin presented the state award of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Order of Dostyk of the 2nd degree, to Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov at the Kazan Kremlin.
The solemn awarding ceremony took place after the meeting of Rustam Minnikhanov with Marat Tazhin, at which prospective areas for cooperation were discussed.
The Ambassador said that the Order of Dostyk is awarded to citizens for fruitful work on maintaining mutual agreement in the society, merits in strengthening peace, friendship and cooperation between the peoples.
“Effective work to maintain interreligious and inter-ethnic peace, create favourable living conditions and develop the full potential of citizens regardless of their ethnic and religious affiliation is being done under your leadership in Tatarstan,” Marat Tazhin said addressing Rustam Minikhanov.
Tatarstan President, in his turn, thanked Kazakhstan leadership and personally President of the republic Nursultan Nazarbaev for presenting the high state award, pointing out that Tatarstan and Kazakhstan will continue their active cooperation in different areas.
Rustam Minnikhanov congratulated Marat Tazhon on being appointed the Ambassador of Kazakhstan to Russia (on February 11, 2014), noting that Kazakhstan is one the leading trade and economic partners of the republic with trade turnover between Tatarstan and Kazakhstan being 1 billion dollars.
Among the prospective areas for cooperation are promotion of Tatarstan produce to Kazakhstan, attraction of investments from Kazakhstan, experience exchange and cooperation in agriculture and IT fields.
“We should strengthen our relations in such fields as culture, science and education,” Rustam Minnikhanov said in particular.
Reminding that Kazan hosted the Universiade in 2013, Tatarstan President pointed out that Tatarstan is ready to assist Kazakhstan in organizing and holding the 28th World Winder Universiade in 2017.
The Ambassador thanked the regional leadership for warm reception and pointed out that Russia is the main trade and economic partner of Kazakhstan, with the share of Russia in the total foreign trade turnover of Kazakhstan amounting to 18 per cent.
Marat Tazhin believes that Tatarstan and Kazakhstan have potential for further cooperation in a number of areas.

The Order of Dostyk (Friendship) is the state award of Kazakhstan established in 1995. The Order of Dostyk is awarded to citizens for the fruitful work on maintaining mutual agreement in the society, merits in strengthening peace, friendship and cooperation between the peoples. The Order of Dostyk includes two degrees: Dostyk of the 1st degree and Dostyk of the 2nd degree, which can be awarded without taking the sequence into account.
On 15 December, speaking at a meeting of the competition committee of the regional public competition “The Manager of the Year” about its results in 2025, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin said that the list of 155 participants (nominees), who are heads of enterprises and organizations from various industries and sectors of the economy, for the competition was formed based on recommendations from regional ministries and departments, city and district municipalities, employers' associations and the Federation of Trade Unions of the republic.
On 6 December speaking at a regional meeting held by the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov in the Government House of the republic with all municipalities taking part in it via videoconference, the regional Minister of Construction, Architecture and Housing Utilities Sector Marat Ayzatullin reported about progress in implementation of the of multi-apartment houses capital overhaul programme.

Your boundless kindness, sincere desire to help others and active civic position deserve special recognition and deep gratitude. There are over 5,000 volunteer associations operating successfully in Tatarstan, with a total membership of over 220,000 caring people of all ages and professions. Every year the contribution of volunteers into public life of the republic becomes more noticeable.
On 4 December Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister Shamil Gafarov, who is the Chief of Staff of the Office of the Cabinet of Ministers of the republic, took part in a strategic session on the establishment of an inter-university campus in the republic being held at the Kazan Aircraft University on 4-6 December with participation of more than 100 people and more than 40 experts in politics, economy, science, education and industry from all over Russia.
