Tatarstan President at shareholders meeting of OAO “Kazanorgsintez”: “You worked well in 2013"

On April 23, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov took part in an annual shareholders meeting of OAO “Kazanorgsintez”. In particular, participants of the meeting approved the annual report, annual financial statements as well as the report on financial activities of OAO “Kazanorgsintez”.
Making a report at the meeting, the company’s Director General Farid Minigulov pointed out that OAO “Kazanorgsintez” completed the year with good results. Despite the reduction in prices in the Russian and world markets, the company’s revenue made 46 billion roubles, exceeding the last year’s figure. The net profit totalled over 2.15 billion roubles, with the industrial growth rate making 107.5 per cent. Farid Minigulov noted that the efficient work allowed the company to prepay the credit debts, reducing the payables from 19.5 to 15.1 billion roubles.
The shareholders decided to allocate almost 647.2 million roubles to pay dividends, and over 1.49 billion roubles to repay loans.
“You worked well in 2013,” Tatarstan President said, pointing out the company’s good development trend, which exceeds the republic's average industrial growth for 2013.
Among the main objectives of the company Rustam Minnikhanov mentioned maintaining the current market position and looking for new markets, producing new kinds of products and dealing with issues related to raw material supply.
On 9 June upon his arrival to the Kazan International Airport, the Russian Minister for Foreign Affairs Sergey Lavrov was welcomed by Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin.
In Kazan Sergey Lavrov will take part in a meeting of the Council of Ministers for Foreign Affairs of State-Participants of the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO).
On 5 May, speaking at a regular meeting held by the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov in the Government House of the republic with participation of the regional Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin and all municipalities taking part in it via videoconference, the Minister of Construction, Architecture and Housing Utilities Sector of the republic Marat Ayzatullin informed that currently 63 school catering units are under repairs with the amount of work completed reaching 15 per cent.
On May 26, speaking at a briefing in the Cabinet of Ministers of the republic held in a videoconference mode with participation of all municipal regions of Tatarstan and focused on events scheduled for June 1, International Children’s Day, as well as the implementation of the “Summer in Tatarstan” programme, Deputy Prime Minister of the republic Leyla Fazleeva appealed that parents should closely supervise their children during recreational activities near water in order to prevent accidents.
On 18 May ay the CIPR conference in Nizhniy Nogorod the Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister Roman Shaykhutdinov, the Rector of the Innopolis University Aleksandr Gasnikpov and the Vice-rector of the University Yevgeny Bobrov will take part at round tables session of the conference.
Experts will discuss the role of Tatarstan and Innopolis as one of the key technological centers of the country and how regional innovative platforms help to solve tasks of the whole Russian industry. A special emphasis will be placed on the digital transformation of the oil and gas sector and how large clusters and scientific and technological centers are becoming drivers of industry change.
