Rustam Minnikhanov meets with President of Turkmenistan

On April 26, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov, who arrived in Ashkhabad with an official visit (April 26-27) to hold working meetings and take part in Turkmen Racing Horse Festival, met with Turkmenistan President Gurbanguly Berdymukhammedov at the Palace Complex in Ashkhabad.
Welcoming Rustam Minnikhanov, Gurbanguly Berdymukhammedov thanked him for the visit. “We have very good relations with the Russian Federation, its constituent entities and regions. In particular, we have established cooperation with Tatarstan in a number of areas. And I would like to note your great personal contribution to the development of relations,” Turkmenistan President said addressing Rustam Minnikhanov.
He reminded that Turkmenistan delegation arrived in Kazan to attend the opening of the year “Kazan – cultural capital of Turkic world -2014”. Gurbanguly Berdymukhammedov also conveyed Rustam Minnikhanov words of gratitude to the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin and Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev.
Rustam Minnikhanov, in his turn, thanked Turkmenistan leadership for the invitation to visit the country. He expressed his special gratitude for participation of the Turkmenistan delegation in cultural events on the occasion of announcing Kazan the capital of the Turkic world in 2014.
Tatarstan President is sure that today’s visit will favour further development of relations between Tatarstan and Turkmenistan in various areas. “Tatarstan is represented by a large delegation. Many of our major enterprises expressed their desire to cooperate with Turkmenistan. And such our meetings have a very positive impact on our relationship," Rustam Minnikhanov said.
On 15 December, speaking at a meeting of the competition committee of the regional public competition “The Manager of the Year” about its results in 2025, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin said that the list of 155 participants (nominees), who are heads of enterprises and organizations from various industries and sectors of the economy, for the competition was formed based on recommendations from regional ministries and departments, city and district municipalities, employers' associations and the Federation of Trade Unions of the republic.
On 6 December speaking at a regional meeting held by the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov in the Government House of the republic with all municipalities taking part in it via videoconference, the regional Minister of Construction, Architecture and Housing Utilities Sector Marat Ayzatullin reported about progress in implementation of the of multi-apartment houses capital overhaul programme.
On 5 December, congratulating volunteers with the International Volunteers Day, Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister Leyla Fazleeva wrote in her address: “
Your boundless kindness, sincere desire to help others and active civic position deserve special recognition and deep gratitude. There are over 5,000 volunteer associations operating successfully in Tatarstan, with a total membership of over 220,000 caring people of all ages and professions. Every year the contribution of volunteers into public life of the republic becomes more noticeable.
On 4 December Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister Shamil Gafarov, who is the Chief of Staff of the Office of the Cabinet of Ministers of the republic, took part in a strategic session on the establishment of an inter-university campus in the republic being held at the Kazan Aircraft University on 4-6 December with participation of more than 100 people and more than 40 experts in politics, economy, science, education and industry from all over Russia.
