On May 6, Tatarstan Prime Minister Ildar Khalikov and Minister of Agriculture Marat Akhmetov inspected spring field works in Pestretsy, Tyulyahi, and Rybnaya Sloboda regions. Prime Minister flew over fields and held meetings with heads of agricultural companies.

Thus, total planting acreage in Rybnaya Sloboda region makes 83.8 hectares. Head of the region Ilkham Valeev said that 30 per cent of spring and cereal crops were sown. The region is fully provided with cattle stock and family farms are developing. Marat Akhmetov noted that Rybnaya Sloboda region does not show high results in comparison with other regions, and called agricultural workers for carrying out systemic work in all areas.

Many things depend on organization of spring field works, and it is important to do everything in time and properly, Ildar Khalikov said.

In his interview Ildar Khalikov said that weather conditions are favourable enough to perform works in all regions. Agricultural workers are provided with necessary equipment, fuels, and fertilizers. He believes that the republic will pass through 50 per cent point within the next two days.

Summing up, Prime Minister said that regional leadership will continue inspecting fields and meeting with agricultural workers to resolve problems connected with realization of spring sowing campaign.
