On May 9, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov, State Counsellor Mintimer Shaimiev, Prime Minister Ildar Khalikov, and veterans took part in a solemn parade dated to the 69th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War on Freedom Square in Kazan.
The parade began with carrying flags of Russian Federation and the Republic of Tatarstan, and the Banner of Victory. A live broadcast from Moscow Red Square was held afterwards. Russian President Vladimir Putin addressed citizens with congratulatory speech.
On behalf of Tatarstan State Council and Government and personally, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov congratulated participants of the parade, veterans, and homefront workers:
“The 9th of May has forever become a sacred day, our fathers and grandfathers did their best to be closer to this day, fought bravely on the front, and conquered the enemy. A horrible, murderous war is in the past,” Rustam Minnikhanov said.
Tatarstan President continued that Russian citizens remember those glorious and tragic days, and heroes of the great battle.
“Tatarstan citizens will always remember heroes of that horrible war. We will never be tolerant of Nazi ideology. Our sacred duty is to maintain unity and devotion to precepts of our ancestors, and defend our country from aggressors,” Rustam Minnikhanov said.
Rustam Minnikhanov suggested paying tribute to the fallen by a minute’s silence.
“Dear friends, let this spring day fill our hearts with pride for invincible Motherland. I wish all veterans, successors of military glory strong heath, happiness and wellbeing, and peaceful sky above. May the memory of our heroes live forever! All honour to the winners and valorous army!”
Servicemen of Kazan garrison, law enforcement bodies, and students of Kazan higher educational institutions marched through the square.
On 15 December, speaking at a meeting of the competition committee of the regional public competition “The Manager of the Year” about its results in 2025, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin said that the list of 155 participants (nominees), who are heads of enterprises and organizations from various industries and sectors of the economy, for the competition was formed based on recommendations from regional ministries and departments, city and district municipalities, employers' associations and the Federation of Trade Unions of the republic.
On 6 December speaking at a regional meeting held by the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov in the Government House of the republic with all municipalities taking part in it via videoconference, the regional Minister of Construction, Architecture and Housing Utilities Sector Marat Ayzatullin reported about progress in implementation of the of multi-apartment houses capital overhaul programme.
On 5 December, congratulating volunteers with the International Volunteers Day, Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister Leyla Fazleeva wrote in her address: “
Your boundless kindness, sincere desire to help others and active civic position deserve special recognition and deep gratitude. There are over 5,000 volunteer associations operating successfully in Tatarstan, with a total membership of over 220,000 caring people of all ages and professions. Every year the contribution of volunteers into public life of the republic becomes more noticeable.
On 4 December Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister Shamil Gafarov, who is the Chief of Staff of the Office of the Cabinet of Ministers of the republic, took part in a strategic session on the establishment of an inter-university campus in the republic being held at the Kazan Aircraft University on 4-6 December with participation of more than 100 people and more than 40 experts in politics, economy, science, education and industry from all over Russia.
