Speaker of Crimean State Council: “Tatarstan experience in regulation of inter-ethnic relations is interesting”

On May 13, during their visit to Kazan, Chairman of Crimean State Council Vladimir Konstantinov and First Vice-Premier of Crimea Rustam Temirgaliev visited Government House, State Council, Kazan Kremlin, IT park, Kazan-Arena stadium, Aquatics Palace, and 7th city hospital. The guests were accompanied by Prime Minister Ildar Khalikov.
Answering journalists’ questions, Speaker of Crimean State Council Vladimir Konstantinov said he was impressed by Tatarstan achievements and implemented projects. He noted that cooperation between Tatarstan and Crimean State Councils was established.
Chairman of Crimean State Council thanked Tatarstan leadership for support from very first minutes of Ukrainian crisis. “The Republic of Tatarstan was the first to help us. The speech of Tatarstan President at Crimean Parliament had a major impact, and we passed out first Constitution in cooperation with members of Tatarstan Parliament,” he said.
Speaking about Crimean Tatars, Vladimir Konstantinov said that the relationships are not easy. “Majlis leaders had anti-Russia sentiments. It was financed by Ukrainian central administration, surely at the suggestion of the West. It is hard to break free from this burden. In this case Tatarstan support is very important for us. Here we can see respected people, who know a lot about inter-ethnic relations. They have positive, good experience in dealing with such problems. I think we can cope with everything. It is a question of time. These ideas come from the West. Their main purpose is to set us by the ears. We are wise enough to prevent it,” Speaker of Crimean State Council said.
On May 26, speaking at a briefing in the Cabinet of Ministers of the republic held in a videoconference mode with participation of all municipal regions of Tatarstan and focused on events scheduled for June 1, International Children’s Day, as well as the implementation of the “Summer in Tatarstan” programme, Deputy Prime Minister of the republic Leyla Fazleeva appealed that parents should closely supervise their children during recreational activities near water in order to prevent accidents.
On 18 May ay the CIPR conference in Nizhniy Nogorod the Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister Roman Shaykhutdinov, the Rector of the Innopolis University Aleksandr Gasnikpov and the Vice-rector of the University Yevgeny Bobrov will take part at round tables session of the conference.
Experts will discuss the role of Tatarstan and Innopolis as one of the key technological centers of the country and how regional innovative platforms help to solve tasks of the whole Russian industry. A special emphasis will be placed on the digital transformation of the oil and gas sector and how large clusters and scientific and technological centers are becoming drivers of industry change.
On 16 May, speaking at a meeting in the Government House of the republic held by the regional Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin with participation of the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov and all municipalities taking part in it via videoconference, the Minister of Agriculture and Food of the republic Marat Zyabbarov reported that the sowing of spring crops is in full swing in the republic with 1m 38 thousand hectares or 61 per cent of the planned have been sown.
On May 14, on the sidelines of the XVII International Economic Forum “Russia-the Islamic World: KazanForum”, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin and Head of the Federal Service for Accreditation Dmitry Volvach signed an agreement on interaction and cooperation in the development of the halal industry.
