Motor Boat Cruise to celebrate the 70th anniversary of Victory scheduled for Tatarstan veterans of Great Patriotic War

On May 13, at a briefing at Tatarstan Cabinet of Ministers, Tatarstan Deputy Minister of Labour, Employment and Social Protection Azat Gabdulkhatov said that a motor boat cruise from Kazan to Saint-Petersburg to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the Victory is scheduled for veterans of the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945 from May 21 to June 3.
According to Azat Gabdulkhatov, 80 veterans of the Great Patriotic War, who participated in the liberation of Leningrad, and 60 cadets from Kazan Suvorov Military School will take part in this trip.
Speaking at the briefing, Tatarstan Deputy Minister of Culture Guzel Nigmatullina said that more than 2 thousand cultural and leisure facilities of Tatarstan were actively involved in organisation of events dated to the 69th anniversary of the Great Victory. In particular, Kamal Tatar State Academic Theatre organized charity performances for war veterans, their widows and home front workers, she continued.
A number of socially important events were also held in the municipal regions of the republic.
Tatarstan Deputy Minister of Education and Science Svetlana Giniatullina said at the briefing that Tatarstan Ministry of Education and Science together with Tatmedia will launch a new project dedicated to the Great Victory in Tatarstan in September this year. A series of programmes “The Cost of the Victory” will be broadcast on TNV television channel in the Russian and Tatar languages.
"The project is aimed to inform the younger generation about the heroic deeds of our people and the cost of the victory," she said.
Svetlana Giniatullina said that about 900 patriotic and ethnographic museums are open at Tatarstan schools. There are 56 school search teams involving over 800 students in 19 municipalities of the republic.
According to the speaker, the Timur movement remains one of the most effective means to raise the younger generation.
On March 10, the third meeting of the organizing committee on preparation and holding of the 20th anniversary Russian Venture Forum 2026 to be held in Kazan from April 8 to 10, chaired by Russian Minister of Science and Higher Education Valery Falkov and with participation of Tatarstan Prime Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan and co-chair of the forum’s organizing committee Aleksey Pesoshin, President of the Academy of Sciences of Tatarstan Rifkat Minnikhanov, Director of the Investment and Venture Fund of Tatarstan Damir Galiev as well as representatives of federal and regional authorities, development institutions and partner organizations via videoconference, took place.
On 10 March, speaking at a briefing dedicated to the development of the national Max messenger in Tatarstan and held in the Government House of the republic with all municipalities taking part in it via videoconference, the Minister of Digitalization of Public Administration, Information Technologies and Communication of the republic Ilya Nachvin informed that according to the data of March 2026 about 1.5m residents of Tatarstan use domestic Max messenger.
On 5 February Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin took part in ceremony of awarding winners of the regional competition “The Woman of the Year. The Man of the Year: A Woman’s View” held at the Korston Leisure and Recreation Center in Kazan.
On 4 March at a briefing in the Government House of the republic Tatarstan Minister of Land and Property Relation Fanil Agliullin told about changes in land legislation enforced from 1 March of the current year. He said that they simplify a number of procedures for land plot owners including expanding the possibilities for land use and changing the rules for changing the category of a plot.
