Solemn event dated to 200th anniversary of Kazan state medical university held in Kazan

On May 14, Russian Minister of Health Veronika Skvortsova and Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov attended a solemn event dated to the 200th anniversary of Kazan State Medical University that was held at the S.Saydashev Grand Concert Hall in Kazan.
Tatarstan leadership, representatives of the medical community of Russia and Tatarstan, foreign partners the KSMU, representatives of embassies, veterans, graduates, staff and students of the university were also invited to attend the solemn event.
Russian Minister of Health Veronika Skvortsova was one of the first, who congratulated the guests on the 200 anniversary of the leading medical university of the country.
The Minister stressed that the university shows positives results and has a plenty of plans for the future.
Veronika Skvortsova congratulated the alumni, a large army of doctors, working in all corners of the country, on the holiday and wished them health, confidence in the future, success for the good of health of the Russian. On behalf of the Russian Ministry of Health she promised that all the necessary support for the further development of the university will be provided.
Russian Minister of Health presented awards to the most distinguished employees of the KSMU.
Rustam Minnikhanov, in his turn, thanked all the participants for coming to mark the 200th anniversary of the KSMU. He wished the university to prosper. Rustam Minnikhanov presented state awards of the Republic of Tatarstan to a number of the university employees. Rector of the KSMU Aleksey Sozinov was awarded a certificate for 5 million roubles for the arrangement of internships.
On 9 June upon his arrival to the Kazan International Airport, the Russian Minister for Foreign Affairs Sergey Lavrov was welcomed by Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin.
In Kazan Sergey Lavrov will take part in a meeting of the Council of Ministers for Foreign Affairs of State-Participants of the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO).
On 5 May, speaking at a regular meeting held by the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov in the Government House of the republic with participation of the regional Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin and all municipalities taking part in it via videoconference, the Minister of Construction, Architecture and Housing Utilities Sector of the republic Marat Ayzatullin informed that currently 63 school catering units are under repairs with the amount of work completed reaching 15 per cent.
On May 26, speaking at a briefing in the Cabinet of Ministers of the republic held in a videoconference mode with participation of all municipal regions of Tatarstan and focused on events scheduled for June 1, International Children’s Day, as well as the implementation of the “Summer in Tatarstan” programme, Deputy Prime Minister of the republic Leyla Fazleeva appealed that parents should closely supervise their children during recreational activities near water in order to prevent accidents.
On 18 May ay the CIPR conference in Nizhniy Nogorod the Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister Roman Shaykhutdinov, the Rector of the Innopolis University Aleksandr Gasnikpov and the Vice-rector of the University Yevgeny Bobrov will take part at round tables session of the conference.
Experts will discuss the role of Tatarstan and Innopolis as one of the key technological centers of the country and how regional innovative platforms help to solve tasks of the whole Russian industry. A special emphasis will be placed on the digital transformation of the oil and gas sector and how large clusters and scientific and technological centers are becoming drivers of industry change.
