Ildar Khalikov takes part in opening of All-Russian scientific and practical conference "Assuring competition in trade activities"

On May 15, speaking at All-Russian scientific and practical conference "Assuring competition in trade activities", Deputy Head of the Federal Anti-monopoly Service (FAS) of Russia Andrey Kashebarov said the market has become more attentive to the federal law concerning state regulation of trade activities, especially retail chains and suppliers.
To the point, the conference is being held at the Training Center of the FAS on May 15-16.
Opening the conference, Andrey Kashevarov thanked Tatarstan leadership for assistance in establishing the Training Center of the FAS of Russia in Kazan.
In more detail, Andrey Kashevarov told about the implementation of the federal law “On the basis principals of state regulation of trade activities”. According to him, the law has achieved its purposes since it was passed in December 2009.
According to Deputy Head of the FAS of Russia, the document allows for shared responsibility of the business to consumers. He continued that the market has realized that the law must be observed, adding that FAS officials have won many cases. At the same time, he reminded the law will be subject to further changes.
Welcoming participants of the conference, Ildar Khalikov, who attended the event, noted that the Training Center of the FAS is a good venue for holding such events and thanked them for choosing Kazan to host All-Russian conference "Assuring competition in trade activities".
Ildar Khalikov continued that the topic of the conference is very important and urgent, especially under new political conditions. Among issues of concern Ildar Khalikov pointed out the overall growth of counterfeit products. Ildar Khalikov also noted that all the major enterprises face the problem of counterfeit goods.
Another issue of concern is accession to WTO and Customs Union. As for the Customs Union, we do not have time to regulate and provide relevant conditions for our major manufacturers, while our partners capture territories and market volumes, Ildar Khalikov said.
Summing up, Tatarstan Prime Minister wished participants the conference fruitful and productive work.

Organized by the Federal Anti-Monopoly Service (FAS), FAS of Russia in Tatarstan, Training Center of the FAS of Russian and Kazan (Volga) Federal University, All-Russian scientific and practical conference "Assuring competition in trade activities" is being held in Kazan on May 15-16.
The conference will analyze the mechanisms of interaction between state and regional agencies, evaluate the real social and economic state and prospects of development of the fair competition in the regions.
On May 15, specifics of the legal regime of retail chains and the validity anti-monopoly regulation in the field of trade, the problems of non-discriminatory access to the networks will be discussed at plenary sessions.
On May 16, a discussion on current issues of creating a competitive environment, as well as round table "Regional protectionism, restrictions and prohibitions in the retail sale of alcoholic products. Impact of legislative initiatives concerning the retail sale of alcoholic products on competition" will be held.

On May 26, speaking at a briefing in the Cabinet of Ministers of the republic held in a videoconference mode with participation of all municipal regions of Tatarstan and focused on events scheduled for June 1, International Children’s Day, as well as the implementation of the “Summer in Tatarstan” programme, Deputy Prime Minister of the republic Leyla Fazleeva appealed that parents should closely supervise their children during recreational activities near water in order to prevent accidents.

On 16 May, speaking at a meeting in the Government House of the republic held by the regional Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin with participation of the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov and all municipalities taking part in it via videoconference, the Minister of Agriculture and Food of the republic Marat Zyabbarov reported that the sowing of spring crops is in full swing in the republic with 1m 38 thousand hectares or 61 per cent of the planned have been sown.
On May 14, on the sidelines of the XVII International Economic Forum “Russia-the Islamic World: KazanForum”, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin and Head of the Federal Service for Accreditation Dmitry Volvach signed an agreement on interaction and cooperation in the development of the halal industry.
