Ceremony of laying capsule into construction site of Salavat Kupere residential complex held in Kazan

On May 15, a ceremony of laying a capsule with a message to the future residents into the construction site of Salavat Kupere residential complex was held on the outskirts of Kazan near Raduzhny residential district.

Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov, Kazan Mayor Ilsur Metshin, Executive Director of non-profit organization “Tatarstan Presidential State Housing Foundation” Talgat Abdullin, Tatarstan Minister of Construction, Architecture, Housing and Communal Services Irek Faizullin attended the event.

Welcoming participants of the ceremony, Ilsur Metshin said that with an area of 1,5 million m², the new residential district will accommodate 50,000 residents, adding that it will be ecologically clean.

Speaking at the ceremony, Rustam Minnikhanov said: “Today we are commencing a new project “Salavat Kupere”, a new residential district at a unique place. We will deal with the urgent problems of our Kazan citizens.” As for the infrastructure facilities, they will be the responsibility of TAIF group of companies, he added. According to Tatarstan President, they will provide the territory with heating, electric power, water and sewerage system.

Summing up, Rustam Minnikhanov noted that this project will become one of the largest projects of the housing stock and future residents will also have an opportunity for social services.

Talgat Abdullin noted: “I am glad for an opportunity to implement the project like this and sure that it will be done in the best way.”  He said that the construction of four blocks will be commenced this year, adding that it is expected to be completed in October, 2015. With an area of 380,000 m², the four blocks will house 6,305 apartments.

“Schools, kindergartens, hospitals and other social facilities will be located in the complex. We expect that one of the best Kazan districts will be built here,” Talgat Abdullin said.

It is expected that first residents will move to the new apartments in the second half of 2015.
