Rustam Minnikhanov and IBM representatives discuss issues of further cooperation

On May 22, during their meeting at the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov and Senior Vice-President for Global Sales of IBM corporation Bruno Di Leo discussed issues of cooperation in a number of new projects.
Rustam Minnikhanov noted that today IBM is actively involved in Tatarstan market. We take cooperation with your company seriously and are willing to develop it, Rustam Minnikhanov said.
Bruno Di Leo told about the work done to open the global logistics center and activities of these IBM centers worldwide, including China and Romania. As for Tatarstan, he said that such center will be launched in Laishevo region in 2014.
IBM also suggest considering the possibility of opening a center for consulting services in Tatarstan, which could meet the needs of industrial companies and enterprises of the republic.
Rustam Minnikhanov offered IBM representatives to make a presentation of the project at a board meeting of JSC "Tatneftekhiminvest-holding". In addition, he proposed to establish a working group to carry out activities under this project.
Consulting services are important for today's businesses, especially in IT sphere and we have great potential for cooperation, Rustam Minnikhanov said.

On May 26, speaking at a briefing in the Cabinet of Ministers of the republic held in a videoconference mode with participation of all municipal regions of Tatarstan and focused on events scheduled for June 1, International Children’s Day, as well as the implementation of the “Summer in Tatarstan” programme, Deputy Prime Minister of the republic Leyla Fazleeva appealed that parents should closely supervise their children during recreational activities near water in order to prevent accidents.
On 18 May ay the CIPR conference in Nizhniy Nogorod the Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister Roman Shaykhutdinov, the Rector of the Innopolis University Aleksandr Gasnikpov and the Vice-rector of the University Yevgeny Bobrov will take part at round tables session of the conference.
Experts will discuss the role of Tatarstan and Innopolis as one of the key technological centers of the country and how regional innovative platforms help to solve tasks of the whole Russian industry. A special emphasis will be placed on the digital transformation of the oil and gas sector and how large clusters and scientific and technological centers are becoming drivers of industry change.
On 16 May, speaking at a meeting in the Government House of the republic held by the regional Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin with participation of the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov and all municipalities taking part in it via videoconference, the Minister of Agriculture and Food of the republic Marat Zyabbarov reported that the sowing of spring crops is in full swing in the republic with 1m 38 thousand hectares or 61 per cent of the planned have been sown.
On May 14, on the sidelines of the XVII International Economic Forum “Russia-the Islamic World: KazanForum”, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin and Head of the Federal Service for Accreditation Dmitry Volvach signed an agreement on interaction and cooperation in the development of the halal industry.
