Rustam Minnikhanov holds a number of meetings and talks at St. Petersburg International Economic Forum 2014

On May 22, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov met with Board Chairman of Renaissance Holding Erman Ilicak within the framework of the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum, which is taking place at “Lenexpo” Complex on May 22-24, 2014.
The Renaissance Holding founded in 1993 is a group of companies, specializing in construction, property investment, power engineering, and trade companies. Being one of the leading companies of the Holding, “Renaissance Construction” is among 100 the best international contract companies of the world and is the largest international contractor in Turkey.
Rustam Minnikhanov noted that today the Turkish companies are running successful business at the special economic zone “Alabuga”. On the whole, Turkey is one of the main economic partners of Tatarstan, he said.
As for “Renaissance” Holding, it has a successful experience in implementation of numerous projects in the field of investment, construction, and power engineering, Rustam Minnikhanov said. According to him, Tatarstan is open for cooperation in all areas and ready to provide comprehensive support for joint projects.
Later on the same day, Rustam Minnikhanov met with Co-owner and Board Chairman of “Summa Group” Ziyavudin Magomedov.
Today, “Summa Group” is a Russian diversified private holding with significant investments in port logistics, engineering, construction, telecommunications, and the oil and gas sectors. With headquarters located in Moscow, its companies employ more than 10,000 people in almost 40 regions of Russia and abroad.
Issues of participation in the construction of Sviyazhsk interregional multimodal logistics centre in Tatarstan were discussed at the meeting.

On May 26, speaking at a briefing in the Cabinet of Ministers of the republic held in a videoconference mode with participation of all municipal regions of Tatarstan and focused on events scheduled for June 1, International Children’s Day, as well as the implementation of the “Summer in Tatarstan” programme, Deputy Prime Minister of the republic Leyla Fazleeva appealed that parents should closely supervise their children during recreational activities near water in order to prevent accidents.
On 18 May ay the CIPR conference in Nizhniy Nogorod the Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister Roman Shaykhutdinov, the Rector of the Innopolis University Aleksandr Gasnikpov and the Vice-rector of the University Yevgeny Bobrov will take part at round tables session of the conference.
Experts will discuss the role of Tatarstan and Innopolis as one of the key technological centers of the country and how regional innovative platforms help to solve tasks of the whole Russian industry. A special emphasis will be placed on the digital transformation of the oil and gas sector and how large clusters and scientific and technological centers are becoming drivers of industry change.
On 16 May, speaking at a meeting in the Government House of the republic held by the regional Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin with participation of the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov and all municipalities taking part in it via videoconference, the Minister of Agriculture and Food of the republic Marat Zyabbarov reported that the sowing of spring crops is in full swing in the republic with 1m 38 thousand hectares or 61 per cent of the planned have been sown.
On May 14, on the sidelines of the XVII International Economic Forum “Russia-the Islamic World: KazanForum”, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin and Head of the Federal Service for Accreditation Dmitry Volvach signed an agreement on interaction and cooperation in the development of the halal industry.
