Tatarstan President meets with Governors of Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous District and Arkhangelsk Region

On May 22, at their meeting within the framework of the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum, which is taking place at “Lenexpo” Complex on May 22-24, 2014, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov and Governor of Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous District Dmitry Kobylkin discussed issues of implementation of project on construction of cross-country pipelines for transportation of crude hydrocarbons from Yamal to Volga regions.
Three regions, Bashkortostan, Tatarstan and Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous District, are taking part in the project and the Yamal-Volga region industrial and commercial structure has been established for its implementation.
Dmitry Kobylkin and Rustam Minnikhanov also discussed issues of possible cooperation in the field of mining and delivery of river boats produced by Zelenodolsk Shipyard for the needs of Yamal.
Later on the same day, Rustam Minnikhanov met with Governor of Arkhangelsk region Igor Orlov. Tatarstan and Arkhangelsk region are also cooperating in the field of shipbuilding . Thus, Arkhangelsk region is the customer of Zelenodolsk shipyard, and it is expected that two river boats will be handed over to Arkhangelsk in August 2014.

On 10 January, speaking at a meeting held by Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin in the Government House of the republic with all municipality regions taking part in it via videoconference, the regional Minister of Construction, Architecture and Housing Utilities Sector Marat Ayzatutllin informed that in the current year the Ministry will take part in implementation of five national projects and three state programmes with planned construction and capital overhaul of 172 facilities for the total sum of 17bn rubles.
On 10 January, speaking at a meeting held by Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin in the Government House of the republic with all municipality regions taking part in it via videoconference, the regional Minister of Agriculture and Food Marat Zyabbarov informed that it is expected to achieve a comparable growth of produce of 1.5%, including that in food production - at least 2.6% in the agricultural sector.
On 4 January Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin, who is the First Deputy Chairman of the Commission of prevention and elimination of emergency situation and ensuring fire safety of the republic, has taken a decision to put into operation the “Buran” (Snow storm) plan in Tatarstan starting from 2 pm on 4 January until the consequences of adverse meteorological events are eliminated by ministries, departments and organizations which ensure the smooth movement of road and rail transport in winter.
On 3 January on the errand from the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov, the regional Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin, who is the First Deputy Chairman of the Commission of prevention and elimination of emergency situations and ensuring fire safety of the republic , held an urgent meeting of the Commission which discussed readiness of forces and means to ensure security during the New Year and Christmas holidays.
