Rustam Minnikhanov meets with State Secretary Ministry of Economic Affairs of the State of North Rhine-Westphalia Günther Horzetzky

On May 23, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov met with State Secretary Ministry of Economic Affairs of the State of North Rhine-Westphalia Günther Horzetzky within the framework of XVIII St. Petersburg International Economic Forum.
Welcoming Günther Horzetzky, Rustam Minnikhanov reminded that during his visit to North Rhine-Westphalia in October last year, he could see at first hand that the region is one the most developed regions in Germany.
Rustam Minnikhanov continued that the agreement on cooperation in some areas was reached as a result of the last year's visit. Today, a "roadmap" draft, which presupposes the development of cooperation in health, education and and IT spheres, has been already prepared, he said.
We are glad that our relations with Germany are actively developing and there is great potential for cooperation between our regions, Rustam Minnikhanov emphasized.
He also reminded that there are more than 80 enterprises with German investments in Tatarstan. Among residents of the special economic zone “Alabuga” there are also some companies, which are either subsidiaries or joint ventures of German partners.
As for education sphere, we put our hopes on Russian-German University at Tupolev Kazan State Technical University, Rustam Minnikhanov summed up.

On 5 February Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin took part in ceremony of awarding winners of the regional competition “The Woman of the Year. The Man of the Year: A Woman’s View” held at the Korston Leisure and Recreation Center in Kazan.
On 4 March at a briefing in the Government House of the republic Tatarstan Minister of Land and Property Relation Fanil Agliullin told about changes in land legislation enforced from 1 March of the current year. He said that they simplify a number of procedures for land plot owners including expanding the possibilities for land use and changing the rules for changing the category of a plot.
On 2 March in her address on the occasion of the Mentor’s Day, Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister Leyla Fazleeva congratulated residents of the republic with the event and wrote: “Since 2025 this holiday established by Russian President Vladimir Putin has occupied a worthy place in the calendar of significant dates of our country, emphasizing the high status and significance of the mentoring mission.
On 28 February, speaking at a meeting held by Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin in the Government House of the republic with all municipalities taking part in it via videoconference, the Director of the Fund “The Institute of Development of Tatarstan Cities” Nailya Nagumanova informed about preparation to the implementation of the Our Yard programme in the republic.
