Tatarstan included in top group of regions having highest investment attractiveness

On May 23, at a panel session within the framework of XVIII St. Petersburg International Economic Forum dedicated to initial results of the national rating of the investment climate in Russia's regions, it was reported that Tatarstan was included in the top group of regions having the highest investment attractiveness.
In particular, Tatarstan together with Kaluga region (ranked first), Ulyanovsk region, Krasnoyarsk territory and Kostroma region is among top-ranked regions.
To the point, the rating is designed to evaluate the effectiveness of the efforts made at all levels of government in order to improve the conditions for doing business and features the assessment of business expectations by 54 indicators. The most important of them are the regulatory environment (time period for issuing permissions), infrastructure and resources (quality of roads and land resources) and support for entrepreneurship.
Pilot testing of the rating system was launched across 21 Russian regions. It is expected that all 85 regions will be included in the assessment system, starting from 2015.

On 10 January, speaking at a meeting held by Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin in the Government House of the republic with all municipality regions taking part in it via videoconference, the regional Minister of Construction, Architecture and Housing Utilities Sector Marat Ayzatutllin informed that in the current year the Ministry will take part in implementation of five national projects and three state programmes with planned construction and capital overhaul of 172 facilities for the total sum of 17bn rubles.
On 10 January, speaking at a meeting held by Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin in the Government House of the republic with all municipality regions taking part in it via videoconference, the regional Minister of Agriculture and Food Marat Zyabbarov informed that it is expected to achieve a comparable growth of produce of 1.5%, including that in food production - at least 2.6% in the agricultural sector.
On 4 January Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin, who is the First Deputy Chairman of the Commission of prevention and elimination of emergency situation and ensuring fire safety of the republic, has taken a decision to put into operation the “Buran” (Snow storm) plan in Tatarstan starting from 2 pm on 4 January until the consequences of adverse meteorological events are eliminated by ministries, departments and organizations which ensure the smooth movement of road and rail transport in winter.
On 3 January on the errand from the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov, the regional Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin, who is the First Deputy Chairman of the Commission of prevention and elimination of emergency situations and ensuring fire safety of the republic , held an urgent meeting of the Commission which discussed readiness of forces and means to ensure security during the New Year and Christmas holidays.
