Tatarstan President meets with delegation of Majlis of Crimean Tatars

On May 26, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov met with members of the delegation of Majlis of Crimean Tatars, who arrived in Kazan on May 25. The guests have visited the World Congress of Tatars, where they signed agreement on cooperation for 2014-2018, and walked around the Kazan Kremlin.
Opening the meeting, Rustam Minnikhanov said that such visits are very important, especially now. “It is important to see prospects of Crimean Tatars. Experience of Tatarstan as a part of modern Russia may be useful for you,” he said.
Rustam Minnikhanov believes that interests of Crimean Tatars should be taken into consideration in Crimea development strategy. Thus, Crimean Tatars and Tatarstan should establish a constructive dialogue with the federal centre.
Tatarstan President thanked leaders of Majlis for signing agreement with the World Congress of Tatars.
Participants of the meeting also discussed interaction between Majlis and Tatarstan leadership.
Board Chairman of Majlis Refat Chubarov, Acting Deputy Chairman of the Council of Ministers of Crimean Republic Lenur Islyamov, Deputy Board Chairman of Majlis, deputy of Bakhchisarai regional administration Ilmi Umerov, Deputy Director General of Bakhchisarai historical and cultural reserve Ali Abdullaev, Chief of Staff of Tatarstan President’s Administrative Office Asgat Safarov, Chief of Staff of Tatarstan Cabinet of Ministers Shamil Gafarov, Deputy Chief of Staff of Tatarstan President’s Administrative Office Aleksandr Terentiev, Aide to Tatarstan President on international issues Radik Gimatdinov, and Chairman of Executive Committee of the World Congress of Tatars Rinat Zakirov took part in the meeting.
On May 26, speaking at a briefing in the Cabinet of Ministers of the republic held in a videoconference mode with participation of all municipal regions of Tatarstan and focused on events scheduled for June 1, International Children’s Day, as well as the implementation of the “Summer in Tatarstan” programme, Deputy Prime Minister of the republic Leyla Fazleeva appealed that parents should closely supervise their children during recreational activities near water in order to prevent accidents.
On 18 May ay the CIPR conference in Nizhniy Nogorod the Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister Roman Shaykhutdinov, the Rector of the Innopolis University Aleksandr Gasnikpov and the Vice-rector of the University Yevgeny Bobrov will take part at round tables session of the conference.
Experts will discuss the role of Tatarstan and Innopolis as one of the key technological centers of the country and how regional innovative platforms help to solve tasks of the whole Russian industry. A special emphasis will be placed on the digital transformation of the oil and gas sector and how large clusters and scientific and technological centers are becoming drivers of industry change.
On 16 May, speaking at a meeting in the Government House of the republic held by the regional Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin with participation of the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov and all municipalities taking part in it via videoconference, the Minister of Agriculture and Food of the republic Marat Zyabbarov reported that the sowing of spring crops is in full swing in the republic with 1m 38 thousand hectares or 61 per cent of the planned have been sown.
On May 14, on the sidelines of the XVII International Economic Forum “Russia-the Islamic World: KazanForum”, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin and Head of the Federal Service for Accreditation Dmitry Volvach signed an agreement on interaction and cooperation in the development of the halal industry.
