Rustam Minnikhanov re-elected as Board Chairman of OAO “Tatneftekhiminvest-holding”

On May 26, at Tatarstan Government House, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov held an annual shareholders meeting of OAO "Tatneftekhiminvest-holding" on results of work in 2013.
Making a report at the meeting, Director General of the holding Rafinat Yarullin said, in particular, that OAO "Tatneftekhiminvest-holding" continued to search new technologies and projects for Tatarstan petrochemical complex in 2013. The analysis of the markets and technologies for new types of products and raw materials was carried out. The trends in the production and use of shale gas in Russia and worldwide were examined.
Problems and prospects of petrochemical complex were discussed at meetings with international and Russian companies. The promotion of Yamal-Volga region products pipeline project is one of the priority areas of the holding.
A new Board of Directors of OAO "Tatneftekhiminvest-holding" was elected during the meeting. The new Board, which increased to 24 members from 22, re-elected Rustam Minnikhanov as Board Chairman and extended Rafinat Yarullin’s powers.
To the point, Tatneftekhiminvest Holding was set up in accordance with the Decree of Tatarstan President in 1993 to improve the management of the local petrochemical complex.
On May 26, speaking at a briefing in the Cabinet of Ministers of the republic held in a videoconference mode with participation of all municipal regions of Tatarstan and focused on events scheduled for June 1, International Children’s Day, as well as the implementation of the “Summer in Tatarstan” programme, Deputy Prime Minister of the republic Leyla Fazleeva appealed that parents should closely supervise their children during recreational activities near water in order to prevent accidents.
On 18 May ay the CIPR conference in Nizhniy Nogorod the Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister Roman Shaykhutdinov, the Rector of the Innopolis University Aleksandr Gasnikpov and the Vice-rector of the University Yevgeny Bobrov will take part at round tables session of the conference.
Experts will discuss the role of Tatarstan and Innopolis as one of the key technological centers of the country and how regional innovative platforms help to solve tasks of the whole Russian industry. A special emphasis will be placed on the digital transformation of the oil and gas sector and how large clusters and scientific and technological centers are becoming drivers of industry change.
On 16 May, speaking at a meeting in the Government House of the republic held by the regional Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin with participation of the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov and all municipalities taking part in it via videoconference, the Minister of Agriculture and Food of the republic Marat Zyabbarov reported that the sowing of spring crops is in full swing in the republic with 1m 38 thousand hectares or 61 per cent of the planned have been sown.
On May 14, on the sidelines of the XVII International Economic Forum “Russia-the Islamic World: KazanForum”, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin and Head of the Federal Service for Accreditation Dmitry Volvach signed an agreement on interaction and cooperation in the development of the halal industry.
