Ildar Khalikov: “Problems of BTA-Kazan Bank are solved”

On May 28, at a press conference on financial recovery of BTA-Kazan Bank, Prime Minister Ildar Khalikov said that the mechanism of financial recovery of the bank realised by the Deposit Insurance Agency and Tatfondbank under the auspices of Tatarstan leadership will lead to successful way out of the difficult situation and favourable future.
Chairman of RT National Bank Evgeny Bogachev, and First Deputy Director General of “Deposit Insurance Agency” Valery Miroshnikov, and Director of OOO “TFB-Holding”, shareholder of Tatfondbank Robert Musin took part in the press conference.
Valery Miroshnikov said that by the request of the Bank of Russia, the Deposit Insurance Agency inspected the financial situation of BTA-Kazan Bank in order to realize financial recovery measures.
According to Valery Miroshnikov, the Central Bank and Tatarstan leadership were interested in maintaining stability in the region.
Yesterday, temporary administration started working in the bank to fulfill several tasks, and one of them is to deal with depositors’ problems. BTA-Kazan will start working as normal in the nearest future.
Robert Musin, who will be the owner of BTA-Kazan Bank, told that the development strategy is to be worked out.
Prime Minister Ildar Khalikov, in his turn, said that Rustam Minnikhanov has tackled the issue from the very beginning, met with shareholders and Chairman of RT National Bank Evgeny Bogachev, and cooperated with the Deposit Insurance Agency. Ildar Khalikov thanked Robert Musin for taking part in financial recovery of BTA-Kazan.
On May 26, speaking at a briefing in the Cabinet of Ministers of the republic held in a videoconference mode with participation of all municipal regions of Tatarstan and focused on events scheduled for June 1, International Children’s Day, as well as the implementation of the “Summer in Tatarstan” programme, Deputy Prime Minister of the republic Leyla Fazleeva appealed that parents should closely supervise their children during recreational activities near water in order to prevent accidents.
On 18 May ay the CIPR conference in Nizhniy Nogorod the Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister Roman Shaykhutdinov, the Rector of the Innopolis University Aleksandr Gasnikpov and the Vice-rector of the University Yevgeny Bobrov will take part at round tables session of the conference.
Experts will discuss the role of Tatarstan and Innopolis as one of the key technological centers of the country and how regional innovative platforms help to solve tasks of the whole Russian industry. A special emphasis will be placed on the digital transformation of the oil and gas sector and how large clusters and scientific and technological centers are becoming drivers of industry change.
On 16 May, speaking at a meeting in the Government House of the republic held by the regional Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin with participation of the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov and all municipalities taking part in it via videoconference, the Minister of Agriculture and Food of the republic Marat Zyabbarov reported that the sowing of spring crops is in full swing in the republic with 1m 38 thousand hectares or 61 per cent of the planned have been sown.
On May 14, on the sidelines of the XVII International Economic Forum “Russia-the Islamic World: KazanForum”, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin and Head of the Federal Service for Accreditation Dmitry Volvach signed an agreement on interaction and cooperation in the development of the halal industry.
