Rustam Minnikhanov: Our competitiveness depends on energy efficiency and use of modern energy-saving technologies

On May 28, at his meeting with Ambassador of Denmark to Russia Thomas Winkler at Korston hotel and mall, before the conference on energy-saving technologies “Danfoss-experience and examples of Tatarstan”, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov said that our competitiveness and economic development depends on energy efficiency and use of modern energy-saving technologies.
Welcoming the guests, Rustam Minnikhanov thanked Mr Ambassador for organization of the meeting and conference. He stressed that Denmark energy-saving technologies are widely used in Tatarstan upon implementation of such projects as Innopolis and Smart City Kazan. As for Danfoss equipment and technologies, successful cooperation can be established with the company.
Rustam Minnikhanov focused on energy-saving problems at major industrial enterprises.
Tatarstan President believes that design of new plants and buildings using energy-saving technologies is a very topical issue today.
Tatarstan President offered Danfoss company cooperating with higher educational institutions in the sphere of personnel training.
Thomas Winkler, in his turn, considers the visit to Tatarstan to be very important. He noted that he had heard about Tatarstan from his colleagues, and received positive reviews from businessmen about favourable investment climate and conditions for doing business in the republic.
Rustam Minnikhanov also answered the question of Thomas Winkler concerning economic development of the region. Among growth points he pointed out petrochemical, oil processing, engineering industries, industrial modernization, development of small and medium-size business, and formation of the middle class.

On May 26, speaking at a briefing in the Cabinet of Ministers of the republic held in a videoconference mode with participation of all municipal regions of Tatarstan and focused on events scheduled for June 1, International Children’s Day, as well as the implementation of the “Summer in Tatarstan” programme, Deputy Prime Minister of the republic Leyla Fazleeva appealed that parents should closely supervise their children during recreational activities near water in order to prevent accidents.
On 18 May ay the CIPR conference in Nizhniy Nogorod the Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister Roman Shaykhutdinov, the Rector of the Innopolis University Aleksandr Gasnikpov and the Vice-rector of the University Yevgeny Bobrov will take part at round tables session of the conference.
Experts will discuss the role of Tatarstan and Innopolis as one of the key technological centers of the country and how regional innovative platforms help to solve tasks of the whole Russian industry. A special emphasis will be placed on the digital transformation of the oil and gas sector and how large clusters and scientific and technological centers are becoming drivers of industry change.
On 16 May, speaking at a meeting in the Government House of the republic held by the regional Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin with participation of the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov and all municipalities taking part in it via videoconference, the Minister of Agriculture and Food of the republic Marat Zyabbarov reported that the sowing of spring crops is in full swing in the republic with 1m 38 thousand hectares or 61 per cent of the planned have been sown.
On May 14, on the sidelines of the XVII International Economic Forum “Russia-the Islamic World: KazanForum”, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin and Head of the Federal Service for Accreditation Dmitry Volvach signed an agreement on interaction and cooperation in the development of the halal industry.
