Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov meets with Turkish Minister of Economy Nihat Zeybekci

On May 30, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov met with Turkish Minister of Economy Nihat Zeybekci during Tatarstan-Turkey business forum in Mersin.
Welcoming the guests, Nihat Zeybekci said that Tatarstan plays an important role in consolidation and development of Russia-Turkey relations. He noted that trade turnover between two countries is supposed to make 100 billion dollars in the nearest future.
As for cooperation with Tatarstan, it is important to develop business of joint companies. The number of Turkish companies in Tatarstan will increase, and we hope that favourable conditions will be provided for doing business in the republic, he added.
Rustam Minnikhanov thanked Turkish leadership for attention paid to development of interregional cooperation. He said that 278 Turkish companies work in Tatarstan, and new enterprises will open at Special Economic Zone “Alabuga” in 2014.
Tatarstan Minister of Industry and Trade Ravil Zaripov, Aide to Tatarstan President on international and foreign economic affairs Radik Gimatdinov, Counsellor of Russian Embassy in Turkey Aleksandr Epifanov, Chief of Staff of Tatarstan Investment Development Agency Linar Yakupov, Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Tatarstan in Turkey Aidar Gashigullin, and Chairman of Chamber of Commerce and Industry Shamil Ageev took part in the meeting.
On 15 December, speaking at a meeting of the competition committee of the regional public competition “The Manager of the Year” about its results in 2025, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin said that the list of 155 participants (nominees), who are heads of enterprises and organizations from various industries and sectors of the economy, for the competition was formed based on recommendations from regional ministries and departments, city and district municipalities, employers' associations and the Federation of Trade Unions of the republic.
On 6 December speaking at a regional meeting held by the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov in the Government House of the republic with all municipalities taking part in it via videoconference, the regional Minister of Construction, Architecture and Housing Utilities Sector Marat Ayzatullin reported about progress in implementation of the of multi-apartment houses capital overhaul programme.
On 5 December, congratulating volunteers with the International Volunteers Day, Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister Leyla Fazleeva wrote in her address: “
Your boundless kindness, sincere desire to help others and active civic position deserve special recognition and deep gratitude. There are over 5,000 volunteer associations operating successfully in Tatarstan, with a total membership of over 220,000 caring people of all ages and professions. Every year the contribution of volunteers into public life of the republic becomes more noticeable.
On 4 December Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister Shamil Gafarov, who is the Chief of Staff of the Office of the Cabinet of Ministers of the republic, took part in a strategic session on the establishment of an inter-university campus in the republic being held at the Kazan Aircraft University on 4-6 December with participation of more than 100 people and more than 40 experts in politics, economy, science, education and industry from all over Russia.
