Rustam Minnikhanov visits a number of industrial enterprises in Turkey

On May 30, during his working trip to Mersin, the Republic of Turkey, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov visited “Aşut Fiberglass” pipe making plant.
The President was accompanied by Governor of Mersin Province Hasan Basri Güzeloğlu, Mayor of Mersin Burhanettin Kocamaz, Deputy Prime Minister of Republic of Tatarstan – Minister of Industry and Trade Ravil Zaripov, Aide to Tatarstan President on international and foreign economic Affairs Radik Gimatdinov, Plenipotentiary Representative of Tatarstan in Turkey Aidar Gashigullin.
Chairman of Mersin Chamber of Commerce and Industry, “Aşut Fiberglass” Chairman Mr. Şerafettin Aşut told about activity of the enterprise.
The company specializes in manufacture of fiber glass pipes for the needs of energy companies, and petrochemical industry. The diameter of pipes makes from 25 mm to 25 meters. The guests saw the production facilities.
Further on, Rustam Minnikhanov got familiar with “Şişecam” company, the first glass producing holding in Turkey.
Today the plant produces home glassware, glass pack, tape glass and chemical glass. Company’s Chairman and Director General of Ahmet Kırman told about development plan and recalled that the production is to be launched at Special Economic Zone “Alabuga” (Tatarstan) in 2014.
On 15 December, speaking at a meeting of the competition committee of the regional public competition “The Manager of the Year” about its results in 2025, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin said that the list of 155 participants (nominees), who are heads of enterprises and organizations from various industries and sectors of the economy, for the competition was formed based on recommendations from regional ministries and departments, city and district municipalities, employers' associations and the Federation of Trade Unions of the republic.
On 6 December speaking at a regional meeting held by the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov in the Government House of the republic with all municipalities taking part in it via videoconference, the regional Minister of Construction, Architecture and Housing Utilities Sector Marat Ayzatullin reported about progress in implementation of the of multi-apartment houses capital overhaul programme.
On 5 December, congratulating volunteers with the International Volunteers Day, Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister Leyla Fazleeva wrote in her address: “
Your boundless kindness, sincere desire to help others and active civic position deserve special recognition and deep gratitude. There are over 5,000 volunteer associations operating successfully in Tatarstan, with a total membership of over 220,000 caring people of all ages and professions. Every year the contribution of volunteers into public life of the republic becomes more noticeable.
On 4 December Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister Shamil Gafarov, who is the Chief of Staff of the Office of the Cabinet of Ministers of the republic, took part in a strategic session on the establishment of an inter-university campus in the republic being held at the Kazan Aircraft University on 4-6 December with participation of more than 100 people and more than 40 experts in politics, economy, science, education and industry from all over Russia.
