Agreements signed between Turkey and Tatarstan during Tatarstan-Turkey business forum

On May 30, during Tatarstan-Turkey business forum in Mersin town (Turkey), Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov said that Tatarstan may become a starting point for Turkish business to enter a huge Russian market.
Speaking at the forum, Rustam Minnikhanov thanked leadership of Turkish Republic for attention paid to development of interregional cooperation. He told that Turkey takes the first place by the amount of enterprises with foreign capital registered in Tatarstan, and more enterprises will open at Special Economic Zone “Alabuga” this year.
Turkish Minister of Economy Nihat Zeybekci told about projects aimed at increasing economic potential of Turkey, and expressed hope that the forum will bring positive results and open new opportunities to develop mutually beneficial cooperation.
Several of agreements were signed in presence of Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov, and Turkish Minister of Economy Nihat Zeybekci.
In particular, Director General of OAO “KIP “Master” Maksim Steblov and Director General of Koluman company Kann Saktyk signed a leasing contract. Head of Nizhnekamsk region Aidar Metshin and Mayor of Mersin town Burhanettin Kocamaz signed Protocol on cooperation between twin towns (Nizhnekamsk and Mersin).
Board Chairman of Tatarstan Chamber of Commerce and Industry Shamil Ageev and Chairman of Mersin Chamber of Commerce and Industry Şerafettin Aşut signed agreement on cooperation.
Also, agreement on cooperation was signed between Tatarstan Ministry of Industry and Trade and Turkish Committee for foreign economic relations, and Turkish Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges.
On 15 December, speaking at a meeting of the competition committee of the regional public competition “The Manager of the Year” about its results in 2025, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin said that the list of 155 participants (nominees), who are heads of enterprises and organizations from various industries and sectors of the economy, for the competition was formed based on recommendations from regional ministries and departments, city and district municipalities, employers' associations and the Federation of Trade Unions of the republic.
On 6 December speaking at a regional meeting held by the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov in the Government House of the republic with all municipalities taking part in it via videoconference, the regional Minister of Construction, Architecture and Housing Utilities Sector Marat Ayzatullin reported about progress in implementation of the of multi-apartment houses capital overhaul programme.
On 5 December, congratulating volunteers with the International Volunteers Day, Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister Leyla Fazleeva wrote in her address: “
Your boundless kindness, sincere desire to help others and active civic position deserve special recognition and deep gratitude. There are over 5,000 volunteer associations operating successfully in Tatarstan, with a total membership of over 220,000 caring people of all ages and professions. Every year the contribution of volunteers into public life of the republic becomes more noticeable.
On 4 December Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister Shamil Gafarov, who is the Chief of Staff of the Office of the Cabinet of Ministers of the republic, took part in a strategic session on the establishment of an inter-university campus in the republic being held at the Kazan Aircraft University on 4-6 December with participation of more than 100 people and more than 40 experts in politics, economy, science, education and industry from all over Russia.
