Valery Vlasov appointed Tatarstan minister of forestry

RT Prime Minister Rustam Minnikhanov presented a new Head of RT Ministry of forestry Valery Vlasov to the employees. The Decree on his appointment was signed by Tatarstan President Mintimer Shaimiev on 20, April 2009.

Before appointment to the post Valery Vlasov headed Volga-Ural regional centre of Russian Ministry of emergency situations.

Valery Vlasov was born in Kazan. For ten years he headed RT Ministry of civil defense and emergency situations (1997-2007). Ex-minister of forestry Zufar Abdullin was relieved of post in connection with changing the job. He headed RT Ministry of forestry since December 2006 just after foundation of the ministry (earlier Zufar Abdullin had headed RT Agency of forestry).

Valery Aleksandrovich Vlasov was born on 20 September 1953 in Kazan. In 1976 he graduated from Kazan Aviation institute n.a. Tupolev, the faculty of “Radio-electronic devices”.

1997-2007 - RT Minister of civil defense and emergency situations
2007-2009 – Head of Volga-Ural regional centre of Russian Ministry of emergency situations

Awarded with medals “For flawless service” of the III and II degrees, “For distinction in military service” of the I degree, “60-anniversary of USSR Supreme Soviet”, “70-anniversary of USSR Supreme Soviet”, badge of Ministry of emergency situations of Russian Federation “For merits”.
