Rustam Minnikhanov meets with Director General of OOO “IKEA MOS”

On June 3, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov met with Director General of OOO "IKEA MOS" (Retail and Property) Armin Michaely, who said that IKEA and MEGA-Kazan shopping centre are big players in Tatarstan retail market.
The amount of company’s investments in the republic makes 4 billion roubles. In 2014, IKEA MOS, the owner of MEGA-Kazan, paid 235 million roubles of taxes, IKEA Dom - 245 million roubles. The number of employees working in Kazan makes 2,500 people. 12.5 million people visit the shopping centre every year.
Armin Michaely addressed Rustam Minnikhanov with request to improve transport accessibility of MEGA-Kazan.
Tatarstan President noted the important role of IKEA company for Kazan as a big tax payer and employer, and asked regional ministries and agencies to work out the announced proposals.
Minister of Industry and Trade Ravil Zaripov, Aide to Tatarstan President on economic affairs Airat Khairullin, and Mayor of Kazan Ilsur Metshin took part in the meeting at the Kazan Kremlin.
On 12 January, congratulating employees of the prosecutor’s office with their professional holiday - Day of the employee of the Prosecutor's Office of the Russian Federation- Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin wrote in his address:
“For more than three centuries the prosecutor's office has been the guardian of state and public security as well as constitutional rights and freedoms of citizens of our country.
On 10 January, speaking at a meeting held by Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin in the Government House of the republic with all municipality regions taking part in it via videoconference, the regional Minister of Construction, Architecture and Housing Utilities Sector Marat Ayzatutllin informed that in the current year the Ministry will take part in implementation of five national projects and three state programmes with planned construction and capital overhaul of 172 facilities for the total sum of 17bn rubles.
On 10 January, speaking at a meeting held by Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin in the Government House of the republic with all municipality regions taking part in it via videoconference, the regional Minister of Agriculture and Food Marat Zyabbarov informed that it is expected to achieve a comparable growth of produce of 1.5%, including that in food production - at least 2.6% in the agricultural sector.
On 4 January Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin, who is the First Deputy Chairman of the Commission of prevention and elimination of emergency situation and ensuring fire safety of the republic, has taken a decision to put into operation the “Buran” (Snow storm) plan in Tatarstan starting from 2 pm on 4 January until the consequences of adverse meteorological events are eliminated by ministries, departments and organizations which ensure the smooth movement of road and rail transport in winter.
