Head of Tatarstan government Rustam Minnikhanov held a meeting in RT Cabinet with the representatives of culture, well-known all over the world. Prime Minister greeted in Kazan ballet dancer Maya Plisetskaya, musician and well-known Russian conductor Valery Gergiev and composer Rodion Shchedrin. They spoke about state of culture and that it is so important today not to loose spirituality which characterizes our people notwithstanding all everyday problems.
The guests expressed admiration that Tatarstan succeeds in keeping the unique originality and appearance. At the same time it is taking the most modern features and tendencies.
According to Maya Plisetskaya Kazan is known in many countries of the world.
The guests said Kazan is among those cities one wants to come back to.
Valery Gergiev invited Tatarstan Prime Minister to the first night of performance “Shurale” that will be held in St. Petersburg at the end of June (within the framework of festival “White nights”). Valery Gergiev considers “Shurale” to become a called-for ballet in St. Petersburg. He also marked that his orchestra plans to cooperate with Tatar composers in future.
On 21 April a big concert of symphonic orchestra from Mariinsky theatre headed by conductor Valery Gergiev is to be held in Big concert hall named after S.Saidashev. The concert is held within the VIII Moscow Easter festival (from 19 April to 9 May it is to be held in Moscow and 28 Russian cities).
