Ildar Khalikov holds meeting on preparation for XVI World Aquatics Championship 2015 in Kazan

On June 4, at a meeting at Tatarstan Government House, Prime Minister Ildar Khalikov called XVI World Aquatics Championship 2015 a global project, and expressed confidence that it will be held on a high level, as well as World Summer Universiade 2013.
He noted that 2,400 sportsmen from 180-190 countries are expected to take part in the Championship. A great number of fans and tourists will come to Kazan to see such spectacular competitions.
Ildar Khalikov noted that two international events will be held in Kazan in 2015 at the same time, - XVI World Aquatics Championship (July 24 – August 9), and Masters Tournament (August 5-16).
Nine working groups in different spheres will be established to prepare for the Aquatics Championship.
Head of ANO “Executive office of sports projects” Azat Kadyrov told about preparation for the Championship in details. He told, in particular, that Russian Minister of Sport Vitaly Mutko chairs the organizing committee. 147 venues, including Aquatics Palace, stadium “Kazan-Arena”, and water area of the Kazanka River, will be used during the Championship 2015. Four pools, Orgsintez, Olymp, Akcharlak, and Burevestnik will be used for training. A cultural park with the area of 45.6 hectares will be laid out during the Championship. It is suggested to use the Tatneft-Arena ice palace for holding opening and closing ceremonies.
Visa-free entry will be organized for participants of the competitions on July 15 – August 20. Accommodation for participants of the competitions will be provided in hotels, sanatoriums, hostels, children’s camps, and Universiade Village.

On 15 December, speaking at a meeting of the competition committee of the regional public competition “The Manager of the Year” about its results in 2025, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin said that the list of 155 participants (nominees), who are heads of enterprises and organizations from various industries and sectors of the economy, for the competition was formed based on recommendations from regional ministries and departments, city and district municipalities, employers' associations and the Federation of Trade Unions of the republic.
On 6 December speaking at a regional meeting held by the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov in the Government House of the republic with all municipalities taking part in it via videoconference, the regional Minister of Construction, Architecture and Housing Utilities Sector Marat Ayzatullin reported about progress in implementation of the of multi-apartment houses capital overhaul programme.
On 5 December, congratulating volunteers with the International Volunteers Day, Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister Leyla Fazleeva wrote in her address: “
Your boundless kindness, sincere desire to help others and active civic position deserve special recognition and deep gratitude. There are over 5,000 volunteer associations operating successfully in Tatarstan, with a total membership of over 220,000 caring people of all ages and professions. Every year the contribution of volunteers into public life of the republic becomes more noticeable.
On 4 December Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister Shamil Gafarov, who is the Chief of Staff of the Office of the Cabinet of Ministers of the republic, took part in a strategic session on the establishment of an inter-university campus in the republic being held at the Kazan Aircraft University on 4-6 December with participation of more than 100 people and more than 40 experts in politics, economy, science, education and industry from all over Russia.
