Rustam Minnikhanov meets with Deputy Chairman of the Federation Council of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation Ilyas Umakhanov

On June 5, during the 6th International economic summit of Russia and OIC countries Kazansummit 2014, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov met with Deputy Chairman of the Federation Council of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation Ilyas Umakhanov at International Information Centre in Kazan.
Rustam Minnikhanov thanked Ilyas Umakhanov for supporting Kazansummit that has been the federal site for strengthening cooperation between Russia and OIC countries. Rustam Minnikhanov noted that such events help presenting diversity of Russia and its regions to foreign countries.
Rustam Minnikhanov told about Tatarstan economy and development of its industries, noting oil production, oil processing, petrochemistry, engineering and agriculture as key sectors. He told about creation of farms, and development of private households.
Tatarstan President also told about implementation of major investment projects “Innopolis” and “Smart City Kazan”. Participants of the meeting noted that today Tatarstan demonstrates new model of economic development, using modern economic technologies and providing tolerant and peaceful co-existence of many nations.

On 15 December, speaking at a meeting of the competition committee of the regional public competition “The Manager of the Year” about its results in 2025, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin said that the list of 155 participants (nominees), who are heads of enterprises and organizations from various industries and sectors of the economy, for the competition was formed based on recommendations from regional ministries and departments, city and district municipalities, employers' associations and the Federation of Trade Unions of the republic.
On 6 December speaking at a regional meeting held by the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov in the Government House of the republic with all municipalities taking part in it via videoconference, the regional Minister of Construction, Architecture and Housing Utilities Sector Marat Ayzatullin reported about progress in implementation of the of multi-apartment houses capital overhaul programme.
On 5 December, congratulating volunteers with the International Volunteers Day, Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister Leyla Fazleeva wrote in her address: “
Your boundless kindness, sincere desire to help others and active civic position deserve special recognition and deep gratitude. There are over 5,000 volunteer associations operating successfully in Tatarstan, with a total membership of over 220,000 caring people of all ages and professions. Every year the contribution of volunteers into public life of the republic becomes more noticeable.
On 4 December Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister Shamil Gafarov, who is the Chief of Staff of the Office of the Cabinet of Ministers of the republic, took part in a strategic session on the establishment of an inter-university campus in the republic being held at the Kazan Aircraft University on 4-6 December with participation of more than 100 people and more than 40 experts in politics, economy, science, education and industry from all over Russia.
