Construction of liquefied natural gas plant started in Tyulyachi region

On June 8, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov, Deputy Board Chairman of OAO “Gasprom” Valery Golubev, Chairman of Duma of Astrakhan region Aleksandr Klykanov, Deputy Chairman of Tatarstan State Council Aleksandr Gusev, Director General of OAO “Gasprom Transgas Kazan” Rafkat Kantyukov, and Head of Tyulyachi region Ildus Zaripov took part in foundation stone laying ceremony of liquefied natural gas plant started in Tyulyachi region.
The plant is expected to open in the first quarter of 2016, and its output will make 56, 000 tonnes per year. The project is supervised by OAO “Gasprom” and is implemented by OOO “Agro-industrial complex “Semiramida”. Similar complex is being built in Astrakhan region.
Rustam Minnikhanov said that opening of liquefied natural gas plant is an innovative step for Tatarstan and Russia. It is a new area aimed at expanding gas consumption in the country.
Tatarstan President noted that Tatarstan is one of the most gasified regions and biggest gas consumer in Russia.
The programme “Development of the marker of gas-engine fuel in the Republic of Tatarstan in 2013-2023” was accepted in the republic last year. It aims to gradual use of gas at all Tatarstan transport. Deputy Board Chairman of OAO “Gasprom” Valery Golubev said that construction of the plant will help creating new area in Russian gas industry.
On 13 April in his congratulatory address on the occasion of the Maecenas and Benefactor Day, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin congratulated residents of the republic with the event and wrote: "Tatarstan has always been known for its generous and kind-hearted people who are ready to help the needy and support important social, cultural and educational projects. We all remember with gratitude the outstanding philanthropists – the Akchurin brothers, the Alafuzovs, and the Ushkovs, whose good deeds and generous donations contributed to the development of culture, education, and healthcare in our republic. On 12 April in his address to residents of the republic, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin congratulated them with the Space Exploration Day and said: “April 12, 1961 has forever been inscribed into the world history as the day of triumph of the Soviet science and engineering thought. The flight of Yuriy Gagarin opened the way to the stars for the humankind and demonstrated to the whole world the might of our country.
On 4 April , speaking at a closing ceremony of the XX Russian Venture Forum held at the Kazan Expo Exhibition Center, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin said that the Russian Venture Forum has confirmed its status of the point of attraction of technological development leaders.
The Forum created a unified scientific, technological and investment space where scientific ideas are transformed into competitive products, and startups gain access to capital and markets. Its business programme is organically integrated into the regional and federal agenda for achieving technological sovereignty and leadership of Russia, he said.
On 1 April Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin and Russian Minister of Healthcare Mikhail Murashko introduced Ayrat Farrakhov, who was appointed the Acting Rector of Kazan State Medical University (KSMU) to its staff.
In his speech Mikhail Murashko emphasized that today KSMU is rightfully considered one of the most respected in the country and said:”Ayrat (Zakievich) has been officially appointed the Acting Rector and I am sure that under his leadership the University will maintain the positions it has achieved and, of course, will continue its development.”
