Tatarstan President meets with winners of school Olympiads

On June 9, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov met with winners of Russian and international subject Olympiads and their teachers at the Regional centre of education quality monitoring. Tatarstan Minister of Education and Science Engel Fattakhov took part in the meeting.
Before the meeting Rustam Minnikhanov looked around new building of the Regional centre of education quality monitoring.
Tatarstan President noted importance of work with participants of Olympiads starting from the 4th form. He asked leadership of higher educational institutions to interact closer with pupils and their teachers. Tatarstan leadership is interested in stay of talented children in Tatarstan, and we should pay more attention to education, Rustam Minnikhanov said.
Pupils and teachers thanked regional leadership and personally Tatarstan President for attention and support. One of proposals made at the meeting was holding of the international chemistry Olympiad in 2016. Rustam Minnikhanov supported the idea and asked certain agencies to deal with this issue.
Rector of Kazan Federal University Ilshat Gafurov told that special conditions are provided at the university for participants of Olympiads, including the opportunity to finish first higher education in short terms, and enhanced scholarships.
Summing up, Rustam Minnikhanov congratulated the winners of Olympiads and their teachers, and presented awards and commendations to teachers and tutors, and a certificate for bus purchasing to the Regional Olympiad centre, and certificate for 1 million roubles to the Regional centre of education quality monitoring.
On 5 February Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin took part in ceremony of awarding winners of the regional competition “The Woman of the Year. The Man of the Year: A Woman’s View” held at the Korston Leisure and Recreation Center in Kazan.
On 4 March at a briefing in the Government House of the republic Tatarstan Minister of Land and Property Relation Fanil Agliullin told about changes in land legislation enforced from 1 March of the current year. He said that they simplify a number of procedures for land plot owners including expanding the possibilities for land use and changing the rules for changing the category of a plot.
On 2 March in her address on the occasion of the Mentor’s Day, Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister Leyla Fazleeva congratulated residents of the republic with the event and wrote: “Since 2025 this holiday established by Russian President Vladimir Putin has occupied a worthy place in the calendar of significant dates of our country, emphasizing the high status and significance of the mentoring mission.
On 28 February, speaking at a meeting held by Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin in the Government House of the republic with all municipalities taking part in it via videoconference, the Director of the Fund “The Institute of Development of Tatarstan Cities” Nailya Nagumanova informed about preparation to the implementation of the Our Yard programme in the republic.
